Gassing-up in Glenwood Springs.
Hillbilly bike!
Here, let me show you what I mean...
Taking a break in Glenwood Springs.
The view from Glenwood Springs.
We met up with John in Grand Junction. He thought it was a good idea to go on an 800+ mile ride with threads showing on his rear tire. Can you say "Loser!"? John starts looking for a new tire in Moab!
Waiting for John to find a tire in Moab.
Gust of wind caught the bike as I was rolling it forward, almost had a domino effect. Luckily only a broken windscreen. Oh ya, and if you look closely, you can see the damamge to Joe's front fender. Broken windscreen & scratched fender.
John had to go back to Grand Junction for a tire! He got one at Colorado Powersports. They didn't have the one he was looking for (D207ZR), but they had one that fit (a softer compound GP), so he ended up paying $280 ($100 more than usual) for a tire that won't as long. Sucker!
See you in Montrose, John!
Okay, this cop didn't pull us over, but we thought it would make for a good picture.
On the way to Montrose.
Same place, sudden sandstorm almost blew the bikes over!
This time the cops were looking for us. Click here to find out what happened!
Will keeps an eye on the bikes from his hotel room.
On the way home - by Blue Mesa Lake.
