Haus? Thurs. 12/28

Hey all! Well, looks like we're in for snow again.:shocked: Hmmm...wonder if someone out there is trying to tell us something?

Pending snow development on Thursday, I'm planning on being at the Haus. I haven't heard anything from Max or Angela about movie plans, but I'll still be there for a warm cup o' coffee. I think that coffee would be even warmer, though, if you guys showed up as well.

The parking lot is fine. There's maybe one parking space on the north side right behind the Haus that has a mound of snow in it. Other than that, there's plenty of parking for our small crew.;)

Yeah, I was thinking of making the drive down as well to deliver the CD with all the pictures I took from the Christmas party... But not with all the idiots on the road. Maybe I'll just put it in an envelope and let the professionals deliver it.

Win? Meh. I was up there along with leviathin. We popped in a DVD of "The Great Escape" and a coupla other regulars joined us for a viewing. I ended up leaving early cuz I've got a minivan and you know how well us "soccer Moms" drive...he, he. Yeah, right! I'm batting 1k as far as I'm concerned. Made a stop at the grocery store. Let's see now, what's gone? No bread, cheese, cereals, soups...the staples I guess:dunno: Anyway, I had already made a stop earlier at Albertsons where my son works and stocked up on what we may need in the next coupla days. I'm making some homemade chicken noodle soup tomorrow. Anyone wanna ski on over for a feast?

Oh yeah, and the roads are slick cuz the snow is a whole lot more wet than last week's. I almost didn't make it into my driveway. There was already about a foot of the slushy stuff. I shoveled a path just in case, cuz I gotta go get my son from work in about an hour...oh yippie!

i just got home, i dont know what you guys are talking about the roads are fine, i was doing 45 all the way down 287, i am supposed to be going down to aurora tomorrow but i doubt i will, anybody know where i can try to get my jeep stuck tomorrow instead.

Shit!!! I shoulda honked as I went sliding by. No way I was stopping though. The PT was already plowing. We have 8 " so far and not slowing. The PT's clearance is 6". And where does the poor thing almost get buried? Pulling onto my own gd road! lmao! :lol:

Ha! Yeah. I had to pull back outa my drive and get a running start cuz the first two go's were no go. I plowed right up into the old snow bank I had shovelled onto the yard last week. Te, he.

yep... another victim of the snowy roads. I was on my way to the Haus and my car decided to start sliding in one direction and really didn't stop sliding. Ended up facing the other way so I think my car was telling me to just head back home. Which I did... Time to look into buying a truck. Hope to see everyone soon.

I hope everyone is safe and sound today. I know the roads out there seem ok, but I have the feeling that with darkness, the roads will become a skating rink yet again.

So, the chicken noodle soup is simmering now and man does it smell good. Mmmm, mmmm. Guess I'll just have ta pour me a bowl or two and enjoy my "alone" time, since I'm not going to any parties this evening:cry:
