Does the Haus or anyone have a VCR they're willing to use there for a "bike night" video session? I have some great racing tapes from the '90's of Schwantz/Rainey/Doohan et. al., and I think it'd be cool to show them some night for everyone.

Here's an idea, does anyone here have the ability to convert VHS to DVD for me? I've got some great old GP tapes I'd like to convert, and you're welcome to burn yourself copies. Schwantz, Doohan, Rainey, Lawson, et. al. Old skool, but GREAT racing. Anyone?

Yes its easy to do, just time consuming.

Hey guys, thanks for the offers. Ken and I have been talking about it. I don't think it'll happen for tomorrow, but hopefully him and I can get together before next Thurs and dub them. Plus, that'll give me time to get a hold of Max and/or Angela (I think?) and schedule something.

Dude, you rock! I owe ya big! I'm sure the club will enjoy them at bike night. Hmmm, wonder what's up with the copies? I'm a digital dipshit, so I would have no idea what to do with the problem, but I could try and read them into my Sony player. Any ideas Gizzmo?

i just read my users manual, it says that you wont be able to play them on other players, sorry guys, didnt kow that, but i am going to try to get around that crappy feature, ill let you guys know, sorry frank, looks like they wont be available for thursday. but ill figure something out

This one of them "copyright bullshit" things? You know, what happened to making a copy for your own use? Really, that's what I'm doing. I have no VCR, so I'm doing a digital dubbing so I can watch them for the first time in years. What happens to them little bit and byte thingy's after that.....who's to say? No its not a copyright issue, the discs stay "open" inside the dvd recorder so you can keep recording shows till the disc is full, once your done recording all the shows you want you need to "close" or finalize the disc to make it compatible with other dvd drives.

okay, okay, i just figured out how to finalize the discs, it doesnt do it automaticly which sucks, and it was a pain to find, but i got it now, what is your schedule like on wednesday chris, so that we can get together and hand off again

10am-6ish you could swing by my work otherwise we could do another "Haus hand off" 6:30ish unless something comes up.

Alright its rendering right now as we speak, I didnt sit and watch it all so i am not sure if everything lines up (hopefully) This is only my 2nd "project" using this software so don't laugh too hard at me if its :slappers:

I couldnt fit all of it without reduced qulity so this is a rough cut of some of it.

See you all for a bit thurs ;)
