I'm gonna get out for a bit as well, probably just around the city. I imagine the canyons are full of sand and probably some ice still in the shaded corners.

This goes without saying, but I'll say it anyways...be careful out there guys.

Canyons? Yeah, maybe still a bit treacherous in the shaded spots. Take it easy if you do ride in the hills. I've been up around Carter Lake and Horsetooth as well last week and both had gravel and water run-off. One spot around Carter also had a bit of something slippery mixed in the water run-off as I rounded a corner which made my rear wheel do the shimmy.

But, most of all...enjoy!!!

Jeff and I went out for a couple of hours today. What a great day for riding. Without a front fender, the water was a bit of a PITA but other than that, I got to wring out the new front end on the Hawk and it handled like it was tuned just for me :)

You think that's bad, try some of the side streets back in there. We live nearby and Colorado Blvd is actually not the worst of it around here. I've seen 4wd roads in better shape.

Cycle Monkey (Frank), another Frank (do not know his fourm name), and I went up to Estes today. Was a good ride but we just did the loop from Drake and into Estes. Did not stop or anything weather was moving in so we deceided to turn it around and head home. Was nice to have the bike out both Saturday and Sunday, learning alot about my new ride. Thanks to both Frank for a good pace and turning around to lend me a hand, the bike runs alot better with gas in the tank.

Note to self: make sure gas tank is full BEFORE ride......

'S ok, you're a noob, things like that happen!

Hey John, good riding with ya both days this weekend. Glad the scenario yesterday was the best it could have been instead of the worst. Especially with all the crap on the roads.

hey, i didnt' say WHY i couldn't wait, you just assumed it was bike related!!! bwahahahahaha, or it could be because this is a bike forum...

and i made a promise to ride at LEAST 8 times this summer, that does include sitting on it and backing it out of the garage to warm it up!

Just sayin' get on out there and ride girlie!!! You can shoot me a call and I can swing over and all of us can get out for some fun :) Does Alan still have a street bike?

Suki
Mon Feb 12th, 2007, 02:56 PM
no he sold it, but he'd rather play in the dirt than ride street, so while he's on the trails i'll be out on the gsxr this year, atleast that's what i think for now, lol!

Soooo... who wants to come ride in glenwood this year? I know a great private road that is very very twisty.. only problem is that a bunch of snooty billionares live on it.. they might get pissy.. . but i have the gate code!
