My ears!!!

I've been sick and for the last 4 freakin days my ears are plugged!!

How do I unlpugg them!!??
I've tried holding my nose and blowing
I've tried Ear candles
I've tried Prioxcide
I've tried yawning
I've tried a Hot bath

I CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE!!!:banghead:

Go get some Sudafed from the pharmacy counter, you'll have to ask for the real stuff thanks to the meth heads baking it down for drugs... A couple of those usually works for me with the real bad stuff. You can also get some of the Afrin (or your favorite version) nasal spray, the 12-hour decongestant stuff. Don't use it more than 2-3 days or it'll make things worse, but it usually has a fairly instant effect.

Beyond that, you're kinda out of luck if that other stuff isn't working. Try not to get a sinus infection, those suck even more...

Try Mucinex D. It worked great for me. A bit more expensive than the other stuff, but like I said, it works. I believe Walgreens and the like have it.

I had an ear infection for the first time in my life a coupla years back. They were so bad, my Dr. couldn't figure out why I wasn't screaming in pain...meh. Anyway, make sure that stuffiness doesn't cause an ear infection as well...I'd also see a doc.

pour some hot wax in your ear, they say it acts like a vacuum of some sort and pulls the wax out.... OR! pour peroxide in it and it'll fizzle it out! yeah!

oil of oregeno works for a plugged nose... though that's not your issue either... what about laying in the tub?

Drive up Pikes Peak? The higher pressure in your head will try to escape to the lower pressure outside. Of course, you eventually have to come back down in which case the process reverses... but it might help. :)

Please don't say you try peroxide or candle wax in your ears! :shocked: An otolaryngologist (ear/nose/throat Dr) once said never to put anything smaller than your elbow in an ear...!

Use a glass/mug full of hot tap water. Don't boil the water as we don't want you getting a steam burn...

Lean over the cup of water and allow the hot moisture to loosen up the eustachian tubes. Try yawning a bit afterwards and it should loosen them up. The decongestant will help them pop into place.

I went to Vitamin Cottage and got this Ear Candle thingy... surposed to release pressure and drain the ear...
I did not put anything but the Peroxicide in ma ear....

I was DESPERATE!!! I still am! I want to Hear!

Don't blow to pop your ears. You're just blowing potentially infectious crud up there and could be in for an infection.

Yawning or swallowing seems to work for me but I don't get all that sick very often.

Pour a tablespoon of Draino into each ear, then let it set for 10 minutes. To remove the draino, use a wet/dry shop-vac of at least 1-1/2 HP.:shocked:
