....tooling to work this morning going North on 287 by the lake just south of the 'Haus, and this friggin' Kamimaze seagull dive bombs me from the East. I wasn't sure which way to go as it saw me at the last moment and freaked out. Just ducked my head down and to the right, and it went over my left shoulder, missing me by inches. Man, Mel, what did you to to piss these friggin' things off?:)

I took a bird to the clavicle at 60mph right before the CSC picnic. Son of a...!! did that hurt - I thought I broke it. Still have traces of the bruise. Be glad you missed it.
A couple of weeks ago on my road bike, I had a hawk brush me with its wing tip as it swooped down to catch some squeaking breakfast. That was pretty cool. Killing one with my collarbone...not so much.

I did kill a bird once on my dirtbike. I was ripping down a fire road in Kanada on my KX500 when a pheasant jumped out in front of me and hit the left fork leg. I turned around and found it flopping around, so I delivered the coup de grace by stomping on it's head with my motocross boots. I'll never forget the crunch it made, but it was quick and (I think) painless for it. When I got back to my buddy's, he turned me right back around and followed me in his truck and was gonna cook it. There was only a blood stain when we got there 15 min after I killed it. I think it was chased out in front of me, and whatever did the chasing went and got his bad self an easy meal!
Hell, Mel coulda killed it, plucked it, breaded and deep-fried it, and ATE it without even a downshift!:)

Snowman knows how to kill a bird, I almost had a turkey buzzard take my head off a couple of years ago south of Kerrville, Texas..those things are huge. I could hear and feel the air coming off the wings as I ducked to miss it.
