Due to my continued medical drama, Kate and I decided to move from the little cabin in Coal Creek Canyon to a place in north Golden. We've (Kate's new name is We) moved everything from the house itself, but not what's in the garage. In order to avoid complete wife breakdown, I need some help to move the garage tomorrow afternoon. (yes I should have planned better, but the drugs are keeping me down)

Ralph has graciously offered to bring his trailer up tomorrow afternoon so it should be a quick job- maybe 3 hours plus eating and drinking time if everything goes smoothly.

What you get: Grilled pork loin sammiches with home made sauce(s), strawberry rhubarb crisp (a specialty) and Deschutes Mirror Pond. Additional possibilities for trade are a ton of firewood, gas money, racing/wrenching advice (but that's always free), trail/road advice for my old neighborhood or whatever.

I need at least 2 people, but a whole gang might be fun and will definitely make things really easy.

Be advised that I can't lift more than 5 pounds, I'm on enough drugs to knock an elephant over, and I'll probably be sitting while you're working- can't help that.

Thanks,

Mike

What time are you looking at? I have family in town this weekend, but he's here's for a conference (or something) and will be busy most of the day, so I'll have some afternoon time.

Like the man said, 2:30. Now, the catch - I am expecting the Sat TV installer between 8am and noon. Their site says to expect 3 hours for the install to complete, though I also know that the dish will go right by the main TV and the rest of the cable runs are short and very accessible, so I foresee it taking a lot less time if the guy is in any way competent. My guess is he will arrive sometime around 10am, but if he gets here at noon I will have to stay until he is done, so the trailer might get up to Mikey's late. In any event I will call Mike once the dude shows up and we have discussed how long he thinks it'll take with an update. If I am late to the cabin, just start stacking things up ready to load and we'll bust it out quick-like.

Hey Mike, I already have plans tomorrow from morning until afternoon but once I am done I will call you to see if you still need some assistance just in case others can't make it.

We could always use a few more hands if anyone gets bored or finds themself in the canyon this afternoon. It's a gravel driveway but it's still very doable by sportbike.

If you do go up, please remember to leave the path through the driveway open so I can pull the trailer through. There's parking in the grass next to the garage or on the opposite side.

Still waiting for the TV dude to show... Sigh. At least the DSL is working, so I can occupy myself with getting that set up.

Remember I trimmed those branches that gave you trouble last time, Ralph. Then I burned them up! HAHAHAHA!

Damn cable guys are always slow and lazy.

Thanks SO much to Terri and Ralph and Donna! Your help took a huge load off Kate's shoulders (and, therefore, mine) and we really appreciate the help.

You guys are studs!

I noticed! Much appreciated. Still had fun getting out, my truck was going more sideways than forward with your road being drenched in rain (and hence, more mud than not) and the trailer still down the driveway. Still less exciting than the trip down 93 though.

The crisp is in the oven! Now the crisp is in my belly! :yumyum: Dinner was good too!

I'll PM you next time so you don't miss out on another exciting move. :D

Hopefully next time I'll be able to lift stuff and I'll just invite people over to watch me do all the work. Seems fitting at least.
