View Full Version : No Cell Phone Just Drive

Thinking about putting one of these decals on the back of my plain old skid lid, as it is less then perfect. I wonder if anything will ever be done about the number of people that talk/text while they drive rather then pay attention to the road. You see license plates that say respect life, yet the driver is on a cell phone. Its an epidempic! But what do you do about an epidemic that society basically condones?

Texting while driving = Carless Driving. 67.00 fine, 4 point violation.
I write it all the time.
ps, I like the sticker, you should market it.

It would be even better as a t-shirt, back print. As a sticker, Id apply it to the toe of my boot. That way I could deliver the message swiftly to the brain, via the rectum. Not much in traffic pisses me off more than some dense moron, doing 27 in a 35, swerving back and forth, you try to pass and when you finally get a view of them, gabbing away, talking with their hands, grinning ear to ear like it's some kind of damn phone party, holding the brick to the side of their head and making it more than clear that traffic is a mental concept left far behind in their little world.
Personally, I gave up cel phones. It's rarely been a detriment since. My wife wasn't so willing but she finally agreed to give it a try and we haven't looked back. One less thing to be plugged into, one less bill, one less thing to lose or break (I broke plenty of them...on purpose most of the time) and despite what anyone else says, the high frequency waves aren't the best thing to be feeding your brain 24-7.

Can’t one of you techno-geeks come up with a way to do this to a cell phone?

I've gotten to the point where I hardly even take my cell phone with me. At first, i'd forget it as i'm walking out the door, then turn around and go get it, fearing that i may miss some important call, bleh! Now i leave it and could care less.
I hardly ever answer my phone when it rings when before i'd make a mad dash to answer it before it went to v/m. When it doees go to v/m and i have a message waiting, it takes me a day or more before i check it.
The most annoying thing about cell phones is when you're face to face with someone and having a conversation, and their cell phone rings and they just HAAAAAVE to take that call, and it turns out it's just another one of your friends or something. bitch, i'm fucking telling you something. My sister does that all the time and then she'll hang up and ask me "where were you?" or "okay, keep going", and i'm just fuming because it's rude and i just tell her nevermind.
or ring tones that are super loud! (cough*CAT*cough).
people at restaurants, eating and talking on their cell phones.
or when Alan calls me on celly (cause it's free mobile to mobile) and then doesn't have anything to say, i want to fucking strangle him through the fucking cell phone.
i guess, i'm starting to hate cell phones as well but they do come in handy once in a while.

I haven't had a smoke in 47 Days :)
When I am on the bike, next to a car where a person is on the phone, I like to rev it to about 11k RPM and just hold it there.

Cell phones suck. I remember sitting on the (beef) bowl, takin' a dump, when the cellphone of asshole next to me starts ringing. I'm like, dude, let it take the message. But noooooo, he has to answer it. I tried so hard to rip a major one while he was talking right next to me, but I was all out....
My EE friend had a great idea, make a jammer/japper (electronic warfare) as he called it, that would find the frequency of the cell, then broadcast a pulse so strong it would fry the electronics of the cells nearby operating on that frquency. Problem solved. Just don't get caught with it as the FCC generally frowns on that kinda stuff......:)

Seriously some people need to pay more attention. I almost got hit in a parking lot the other day. bitch didn't even see me, but I gave her a nice "hang up the fucking phone" as I cautiously proceeded.

Would it be considered road rage, if at a stop light you calmly took a tire iron and smashed in the drivers side window, then took their cell phone out of their hands and run over it with your motorcycle?
and you wonder why they want to open doors on us…

I was watching the Morning show or one of those this morning and they were talking about this very subject. They mentioned this website http://www.freeheadset.org/ that all you have to do is pay shipping and they will send you a free headset. I did this and its only like $4 for shipping so totally worth it. Check it out...
