Greetings riders,
Rain or shine here is something fun and interesting to do.
I am happy to pass along that there will be free
Total Control
Advanced Riding Clinic
Seminars
http://www.totalcontroltraining.net/IMAGES/RIDING_PIX/FrontPage.jpg
at BMW Ducati of Southern Colorado
http://www.bmwducatisoco.com/event_calendar.asp
on Saturday, Oct 6, 2007 from 9-4
Please Join MRA racer #148, Eric Peathttp://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x233/bmwducatisoco/EricPeat.jpg and all the staff at their
BMW Fall Fast Forward Open House.
The presentation will cover the "Five Keys to Cornering":
Traction Management
Throttle Control
Visual Acuity
Line Selection
Body Position
There are actually Six Keys to Cornering, and if somebody will remind me after we are done, I will share that sixth one with you as well.
Everything we are going to talk about at the seminar is actually taken straight from the Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic syllabus and the bookhttp://www.totalcontroltraining.net/IMAGES/Buttons-Bars/Buy_Book_Button.jpg Total Control, by Lee Parks (autographed copies will be on-hand). The seminar is just an abbreviated version--lasting a bit over an hour, but you can drop in at any time during the talks--, as the class is 8 hours long (about 40% classroom, and 60% range exercises).
I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you. Come join us for food, fun, and huge deals as we close out 2007 BMW models!
Read on.

Additionally, the last Total Control class will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2007. I have spoken with the owners of T3RG Motorcycle Training, the presenters of Total Control in Colorado and they have agreed to a 10% discount to all members of the CSC and MRA for this class only.
Your Total Control instructors should be:
Ty Piz
Ty has spent most of his life in motorsports. At the age of seven, Ty climbed on his first dirt bike. By fifteen he was an accomplished moto-cross racer. As his love for competitions grew, so did Ty’s expertise and soon the ‘hobby’ became a full time career.
From moto-cross, Ty moved to the ultimate in Motorsports, grand Prix Road Racing- first as an amateur then an expert and on to the ranks of the professionals.
Along the way, working in motorcycle shops, Ty became an expert mechanic. The he moved to Arizona and became an instructor at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute training new technicians.
Ty began racing small displacement Superbikes in 1980, soon after moved to large displacement production and Superbikes, earning a few Championships along the way. This experience prepared him well for his venture into the Formula II and Unlimited GP classes. He earned another Championship in F-11 and a top five overall in the Unlimited GP Class. During his career, Ty has won an incredible 15% of his over 220 races.
Ty is certified as an MSF instructor and teaches for T3RG Motorcycle Schools. He has also been certified in the Lee Parks Total Control Advanced Course as an instructor. He has instructed on the track for Jason Pridmore’s ‘Star School’ and for Doug Chander’s “On Track” training. He has studied at American Suupercamp, Star School, Kevin Schwantz and Yamaha Moto-cross course.
And,
Curtis R. Cummings
Curt started riding motorcycles as a young boy on his fathers’ ranch, just south of Franktown, in 1964. He continued his dirt bike riding throughout high school and college by going into the mountains west of Castle Rock with his buddies. When he was through with school, riding motorcycles took a back seat so he could focus on his wife Lori, and their two sons, Craig and Cory. When his boys were ten and eight years of age, respectively, Curt returned to his passion for motorcycles and has passed it on to his boys, giving them a head start on becoming expert riders. They took first and second place, respectively, in motocross.
Curt started racing competitive motocross in the senior class and did so full time for about three years while his sons raced as well. He just can’t get that need for speed out of his system. He is certified as an MSF instructor, a Total Control instructor, and is CPR and First Aid certified.
Curt currently teaches for T3RG Motorcycle Schools, and has been since 2005. He teaches the MSF Basic Rider Course, averaging 25-30 classes per year. His precision riding skills are admirable. He is a natural instructor for teaching the Lee Parks Total Control class, which is for very advanced riders. Curt is very dedicated to making sure people have fun on a bike and make safety a priority. Curt’s son says of his dad, "Thanks for the memories; you are one of a kind in this industry”.
