They must have had a pirate meeting and decided that all pirate activity (looting, pillaging) needed to increase at least 14%, so they could afford faster boats and rockets that actually explode instead of just embedding in the sides of ships.

I remember Indonesia issuing a world wide "notice" basically saying they were sick of pirates, they were gonna handle it themselves and everyone just needed to stay away from them as they did. Looks like it's having an effect.

Somilia is just a lawless wild wild west kinda place, I have been on the horn and it is a different world. With the US Navy having a strong prescence there, it's just a metter of time before those guys get a little bolder and get their asses handed to them.

Nigeria is still the 3rd or so most corrupt country in the world, but they do actually have a blue water navy and that surprises me they would put up wiith it. So obviously there are some payoffs happening there. But you would think they would move down the west coast to a more unstable goverment, but with all the natural resources in Nigeria you go where the money is.

Interesting article. I would have guessed a bigger hotspot in the Gulf of Mexico and Pacific as the drug runners are looking for vessles to get in country. Looks like the Coasties are TCB.
