Too bad MotoHaus is in Ft. Collins. Perhaps they'll open up a another location further south. I call for "franchise". Jeff, NN, you need a new, more relaxing job.

So that basically leaves out everything that has been mentioned and already used for a meeting spot.... Starbucks, Hooters, Dave & Busters, BWW.

I will say, Hooter's food sucks and D&B is freaking pricey.

starbucks doesn't do a fuckin thing for our state or community....they wont even support our troops.....i'm a small local coffee shop and i have sent over 400 pounds of coffee to our troops......you dont have to support the war to support the kids that are dying for us over there...

You need an economics lesson. You're completely ignoring what starbucks does for our community and communities you've probably never heard of.

1. Starbucks collects and pays state and local income and sales taxes. The more they charge for a cup of coffee, the more state tax income. No, that doesn't do shit for our state.

2. Starbucks employs MANY MANY people that make more money than any regular person working at a wal-mart. So, again Starbucks hasn't done shit for our state or community. Plus how does sending coffee to our troops really help out "our community"? That helps out the troops. but I guess one could argue that indirectly somehow we're affected by it.

3. Many companies go into deals for a starbucks to purchase a small part of a strip mall. This allows a business the ability to build a strip mall with a starbucks commitment, and have a better chance of succeeding. At the same time building something new, and making things look nice, which paves the way for other businesses. Again, something that is just absolutely destroying our economy.

4. I'll go one step further to explain how much Starbucks does for economes other than our own. Guatemala is like a second home to me, and that's also where a large quantity of starbucks coffee comes from (the most popular being Antigua Guatemala coffee because of its consistency year after year). A huge chunk of the coffee exported from Guatemala goes to Starbucks. One of my very close friends there owns a coffee plantation and sells nearly 80% of his antigua coffee to starbucks. Another economy being helped by that horrible corporate starbucks. I mean, imagine if starbucks didn't buy any of their coffee. Those Guatemalans might starve to death!

Point is, Starbucks probably generates more income and jobs than all the other small coffee shops in the state, combined. They charge exorbitant prices because people pay it, and honestly, they have a good product, and that's why people keep coming back. But for you to shoot down the corporate conglomorate and say that the business does absolutely nothing for our state, is asenine. Especially pointing out all this and then pointing out that you actually run a coffee shop. It only shows that you are biased.

Also, you need to get your facts straight with the reason Starbucks wouldn't donate coffee directly to the military, and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with supporting a war, but rather, everything to do wth their corporate policy which they are required to uphold, to maintain profits because starbucks is a public company. BTW, I'm a starbucks shareholder so I know a bit about how the company works.

Just my 2 cents...

whatever, their coffee sux ass....policy smolicy,,,they suck ass and dont want to donate coffee to our troops, cause their money grubbing coporate machines like walmart.....relax, i'm just bustin their chops anyway.....and havin a little fun.....feed the machine all u want. bet you shop at walmart too..................and as far as what u know about starbucks, is what they tell you, not always the truth....and as far as supporting third world countries, hah....they only carry 1 fair trade coffee, where as most local shops carry alot. we carry 18 fair trade coffee's...they also over roast their beans to give them a longer shelf live cause their cheap asses.....anyway, i wasn't trying to start shit, i was just fuckin with the northies,,,,,,,and as far as having a good product, lol, if i got beat by mcdonalds in a coffee taste test like they did a few months back, i would close my doors....

Egh hmm.. The Breck.

- Great brews and cocktails that get hooked up from the bar keeps.
- Really good food that honestly isn't all that spendy. (Anybody price out a cup of Starbucks coffee lately?)
- Central location with a ton of parking (when the Rockies aren't hosting a game).
- TV's and a pool table, and a "gear counter-top".
- There a friend of the CSC and deserve our business IMO.

Sounds good to me, unless it's dark and cold and nobody brought a bike :(.

As for CB & Potts, I'm game. It's right next to the starbucks/hooters. Cole goes there for lunch alot but I guess if he knows the night before maybe it'll work.
There's also a Fox & Hound at 120th/Sheridan.

I think that whoever picks a place, posts it up (not in this thread) as a Meeting thread, then people will either be in or out. Can't please them all.

Bottom line, let's meet and hangout.

I still have no probelem with Starbucks for a Wed night. Makes for a nice casual meet. Not that I wouldn't mind a place where you can get a good beer. But this is a Wed night meet and I always have 30+ miles to drive home afterward.
