Anyone have a cheap paintball gun I can use for the weekend? My company is having our winter trip this weekend and since there's no snow, we decided to do some paintballing up where we're going to be. So.... anyone have a cheap gun I can borrow for the weekend? Thanks. :sniper:

Not to hijack the thread...but I wonder if any of you ever played with the Tunka group and Blacklight Company?
I would say you could borrow this one;

I must have gotten out of paintball in favor or airsoft too soon ... WTF kind of paintball gun is that? Where's the air? Where's the hopper?

Looks like the air is in the clip since the hose is going to that. Couldn't tell you where the hopper is. Maybe you just load them in somewhere so there isn't a hopper. :dunno:

Some sort of bolt gravity feed from the stock?
I don't know - I still love my airsoft and the "realism" factor to the guns compared to paintball (not these stupid POS things they sell at Sports Authority and Walmart - but the good gear like TM and Classic Army and such) - but guns like that - if they work - would make me reconsider getting back into paintball.

My guesstimate... It's a side fed marker w/o the hopper in the pic. The feed tub is on the other side of the makers. The line on the bottom is a modification that allows probably a 6 - 12 oz CO2 bottle to reside in the stock instead of being screwed into the grip of the marker. Check out the attached pic for an example of the hopper.

It's surprising at how much the scenerio market has grown. I was more into the speedball play. Forget sneaking around in the woods. Get on an inflatable field and throw down. Fast paced games were the best. Nothing better than flying over a bunker and putting 5 to 10 paintballs into the guy who was there before he could even react...
Oh yeah... too much fun!

See...
I always loved to snipe.
I'd be the one with the highly tuned WPG with the 20" barrel spiral cut trying to add an extra 10 yards for the throw down...
That's where I loved Airsoft...
It was me... my PSG-1... 550fps... picking people off at 75 yards from a bit of elevation... my MP5 as a backup if I had to bail my position and run for it...
I was always much more of a tactician than an "infantryman" type with the whole "Charge & Spray and Pray" assault. Out flank. Out think. Victory comes from the mind not the munitions.

Spoken like someone too slow to take a center bunker off the break! :doublefinger:
Speedball has just as much strategery as woodsball. There are plays, lines, scenerios, etc... It just happens a lot faster then recreational play. You have to know how to play positions, what happens if your back guy gets taken out, how to fill lanes on the break, shoot to a spot as opposed to a player, blah blah blah...
I'm just pinching your shoes of course, I always enjoyed laid back days w/ friends playing woodsball where it wasn't so much about getting the win but more about having a good time.
never played airsoft...

Well...
For the record...
The last time I played Paintball I was about 100lbs heavier than I am now...
The last time I played Airsoft I was about 75lbs heavier than I am now.
Full bore running of the former-roundness that I was made too well for an easy target IMO.
I prefered sitting back saying "I decide who lives and who dies" as I put an airsoft BB right into the goggles of a rusher! ;)

That was one of Tippmann A5's that I built. That had a Palmers Stabilizer in the Mag, Palmer's QEV, JCS Jet Click, and a 4" Stiffi C-Series Carbon Fiber/Kevlar barrel. I ran coiled remote to my 88/4500 tank on my vest, and it is photoed without a hopper.
Here are pics of my other 3 builds;

GTA Rufas Dawg Adjustable trigger, WAS Egrip, Polished internals, shaved body, silver metalic Paint, Palmer's QEV, JCS Jet Click and 12" J&J Ceramic barrel, JCS RVA

SR-25 Mock-up, Custom shroud, 16" Stiffi barrel, red dot, bipod, polished internals

Just plain ergonomics for woods, Palmers Stabilizer in stock, polished internals, Palmers QEV, Custom paint, 12" Lapco big Shot, UMS grip Shelf, and a nos button on the grip (no function, was from another marker) and a shameless plug for Special Ops Paintball (http://www.specialopspaintball.com) with the boxes.

A simple version, 8" Lapco Big Shot barrel, Tac-Light, Tac-hopper (holds 20 rounds), OD paint job
As far as woodsball vs speedball...that could be a whole other book on its own there. Not all the woods games are slow paced or "low impact." Have had a fair share of games up in the mountains with 30 on 30 out in the hills, when you come across the opposing team $hit hits the fan and you better dig in and find the best angle before the other guy does, not like the speedball field where you can see every player and have cover provided...whole different playing style, both equally fun, how else can you shoot somebody and not go to prison?
