Good Cop, Bad Cop ? Good Court Bad Court?

Well now that the season is over it's time to reflect on back on your past season(s) looking forward to the spring.

One aspect I've read a lot about on the forum is getting tickets. Some animatedly well deserved and others not so much. Sadly the only two tickets I've received in the last five years have been in my cage. :( HELL YES -- if I'm going to get a ticket I'd rather have it on the bike!

I would like to hear about your -good- experiences with the the local law on your rocket.

I would like to hear about the bad tickets and any reductions you might have received if you went to court. Please list the county you were in. It might also be useful to know how many points you lost and the affect on your insurance.

If you were driving faster for safety reasons, perhaps you passed a dangerous cager or a large truck to gain visibility, please explain. Was the ticket worth evading the risk? Most importantly why didn't you slow down instead?

Please focus on safety. If you were goofing off or enjoying the ride as we all do from time to time -- oh well so sad -- another thread another day --

My only run in this year with C Springs finest was after i got back from Aalabama. I had the squid plate mount and the roads in Montgomery are so bad my suspension completely compressed and sent the plate a-flyin'

It was too damm pretty not to ride, so I was headed down Powers when the rollers lit up behind me. He asked if I knew why he was pulling me over, and I told him the same story. Quite pleasant, ran my registration and ended up sitting on the bike commenting on how it wasn't as uncomfortable as the sportbikes he saw. We talked about which departments ride harley's BMWs and the two new STs in CSPD.

Nice guy, gave me his card. I would have spent less time if he had given me a tickett, but I was enjoying the conversation, and I was in no hurry.
