Damn I wish they would bring the Trans Alp back over here...I would trade in my KLR in a minute!!
And, I like the way they incorporated the muffler into the tupperware on the 1000.

Drop the passenger pegs, kit the rear signals, steel-braid the lines, and do a little color-matched yellow pin stripe on the wheels, and this bike just would be a Honda I'd consider owning.

Not exactly the beefiest looking swingarm I've ever seen, but it looks interesting enough. I love the perimeter rotors!

Wish they would too. You can still pick up used ones at pretty good deals though. That new one looks pretty substantial as well.
One would think with the increasing popularity of the DS/Adventure market in the US, that the 'Alp would be a natural import for them. :dunno: Seems to be working for Kawi, Suzuki, BMW, and KTM!

An old friend of mine rode a transalp, he loved it.
Jeff that Bimota looks sweet. Are you thinking about a new ride for next year? I'm seriously considering buying one of these.

Nice pasta rocket. I'm looking but it will be Japanese technology that occupies my garage yet again. :siesta:

Definately one of the most beautiful bikes ever. I'v always loved Bimota's. Now, think of something like this......with a Gixxer 1k motor in it.....:shocked:like the old SB6, only better.
Um, the swingarm looks pretty beefy to me, especially with the plates tying everything together. Most likely stronger and lighter than the typical cast Japanese swingarms, if a lot more expensive. I don't see the perimeter rotors though. Do you mean "radial-mount calipers"?

I was actually talking about the Ghezzi-Brian, not the Bimota.

BTW, I cracked and put a deposit down on an 848 today. Guess there's no going back now. :)

The ZX-14-C will be the next bike. Without the ABS. The CA bike is gone

Bummer! But that will be a sweet bike, can't wait to see it. We'll have to ride Loveland Pass again on the new bikes, I really liked that road.
