Want to make sure it happens? Fill out one of these forms!

The construction of the track is VERY VERY likely at this point, but it's far from certain. Your donation can be the difference. Even if all you can afford is $20...do it.
I'm excited to have another track in Colorado, and can't wait to race there!

+1 for donating, that amount needed on the track website is kind of confusing but I believe we only need around $150K, don't know for sure, to have them start the track and have a minimal operating facility. The more donations the better, I've walked the track and it is fcukin' sweet, has a miniature laguna cork screw lots of elevation changes and it is going to be fast!

Last I heard, they have not even broken ground yet, but I have not heard the latest update.

they will not break ground until $500K is raised. I believe we are over $360k so not that much left. They don't want to break ground until they have enough money to actually finish it and have a minimal operating facility. So keep the money coming in and we will be on the track April '08!

Do you really think that even if we get to 500K that we will be on ther track by April. if they have not even broke ground yet?

Sorry I meant August, since funding did not reach $500k before winter started, no ground breaking occured, in turn, pushing the completion date back towards August '08.
But it will keep moving back until we raise that $500k so let's get some money in, I know you guys would love this track! Even if it's $20 everything helps. Tell your friends and family about it too.
If you guys have any questions please ask, the more knowledge that is out there the sooner the track will come to us.

This evening I met with one of the contracted developers for the track. He mentioned that things are going well and that the docs are being set forth for the county to review.

So when I donate $ to a for profit venture and get nothing but the satisfaction that I gave them free startup capital, what is my incentive?
If the track is built, will they give me a discounted track day? Anything?

Couldn't agree w/ you more... For your Money, you'll get the advantage of not having to travel & spend hundreds to thousands of dollars!!
I am going to build the CSC a private track complete with clubhouse, mini-apartments with garages, hotel, lake for fishing, private IFR airport, etc. I am accepting non-tax-deductible donations!! Then when I win the powerball, everyones money would be returned... GREAT DEAL to be had by everyone!!!!!

the deal is that you are donating to have a facility that you want to use. CAMA isn't really a for profit venture, but it's not really a non-profit either. By giving it start up capital you are doing your best to assure that the rates for the use of the facility remain low. At this point the clubs that are going to race there will face lower fees for using that track than they would at other similar facilities.
Now, the reason for delaying the start of construction unitl there is enough capital to make a working facility is that if the money ISN'T raised it will be refunded to those who have donated money. I'm certain that the track will be built, it's just a matter of when. Donate money, ride sooner. Simple.
I understand your concerns, but at the same time have been a trackday rider and racer in colorado now for about 5 years and have watched at least 4 facilities close during that time for various reasons. Sometimes drastic action is needed to solve drastic problems. Right now the problem is that we have only one viable track in the state. Donating a few bucks to something you can't write off is a way to turn this ship around and start generating the momentum needed to get at least one new track built.
CAMA ran the Second Creek Raceway when it was still in existence, and the fees to use that facility were extremely reasonable compared to other tracks nationwide. The donation you make today helps to keep those use fees low by reducing the amount that CAMA will have to borrow (and pay interest on) in the future.
