Sounds a bit steep for a wrecked bike if you ask me...

hell, I've seen 06 ZX-14's that have never been wrecked selling for only 2K more.

But then again if a dealer was asking $8,900 for an 05 ZX10R bet your ass I'd ask for $5500 on a trade in. I wouldn't pay over $7,500 for a 05 ZX10R.

Or $6,700 for an 05 ZX6R

Hence why I'll never buy a bike from Coyote, CSC members aren't getting any deals........

Rather have a 05 zx10 with 4400 miles with a full system muzzy, gpr stabalizer, new tires, power commander, euro signals for 8000
than a 01 zx-9 possible salvage title with 33000 miles for 5500
:banghead:

First dealers are in business to make a profit....not give shit away. As I have said 300 times, forging a relationship with a dealer is a good move.

Last summer when I was looking for a new race bike....Chris really did hook me up on a r6 and he is now willing to hook me up on a liter bike...of course when I get off my ass to get something done.

So again I would think talking with Chris prior to making purchase would be a good idea

^^^I understand this concept Joe, but sometimes the "profit" seems a little much. I haven't heard too many good things about Fey Mayers, however I found a salesman and will be purchasing my future bikes through him.

You would purchase a stock 05 zx6r for $6,700? Please....... :)

David is there a dealership in this state that you dont have something negative to say about? :?

David,

Your right I wouldn't pay that much for either the 10 or the 6. But the reality is that I know Chris and I know he will give me the best deal he can.

There is nothing wrong with a dealer asking whatever they want for a particular bike....it really comes down to what you will pay for it and what they will accept.

I too have a few friends at Fay, and they have hooked me up numerous times. However, they have two 2005 R6 that they are asking over $7k for....and they sponser the CSC. Shit if I could sell my 05 r6 for that I would be happier than hell.

So I really don't understand (and maybe your previous statement came off wrong) why you need to go after Chris/Coyote for trying to make a profit just like fay/Grand Prix/Vickery et all do?

Well for the record I do like dealerships. In fact Jim, I have bought a lot of stuff at Grand Prix and would consider buying another bike from them, parts and service is another story. I've never had a bad experience at Fay. Granted I've never done that much business with them but I've been talking to a salesman there lately and I'm impressed, regardless of various opinions on the CSC. I've also had good experiences at RPM on Wadsworth.

However when I posted about a 07 zx6r I got an e-mail from Nori quoting a 05 for $6,700....not the best deal in town :)

If your going to post a thread about "Giving CSC members deals" you better live up to it

My guess is that it used to butters' old bike too. I remember seeing it last year at the St. Patty's Day parade. It looked like shit, sorry David of Denver. I don't think it would be worth $5500.
