I will probably be there. Does a V-twin 1000 have to compete against I4 1000's, or can there be a seperate class for V-twin sportbikes?

Most dyno numbers are corrected for standard temperature and pressure...I think Clarkie can give you the "actual" number, but you'll have to ask for it specifically.

the actual rear wheel hp number is just depressing at 5,000ft, people usually dont want to see it :(

I think I'll try and get out there on the Buell- Be interesting to see what I'm getting out of the tractor.

Gives me a good reason to finish the open airbox and catch can mods this weekend!

+1 for Epic. Awesome to have such a cool shop right by the house!

127 ponies out of the 954.

Highest I saw was 151 from an '07 ZX10.

I was really interested to see what the new Buell 1125r would pull. It got 127 as well. Pretty damn respectable for a Harley!

I took my softtail back over there for grins, but I didn't feel like waiting as long as it would have taken.

No, but that thing was insane...
*edit 120?? How disappointing

It was good meeting some guys and putting faces to names. Was also pretty happy that the VTR pulled 101 hp and 65 tq, not insane like some bikes, but quite respectable I think...

Yep, that's what he told me. I'm not sure, but I don't think that was on the juice. He said at Faster, it normally puts down 135. I have known who he was for the last few years, but hadn't met him until today.

So I ended up at Foothills BMW to help promote R2SL. I had the Zuma Pit bike there. Ralph has the results, but I'm told it was pretty impressive for a 50CC scooter. Maybe he'll post them up here.

Glad to hear the Epic day went well. The guys over there are great.

Agreed, even with the long line of people waiting to get on the dyno he still took the time to talk to me and let me know what everything meant and how my bike was doing, etc...

And yea, when one of the guys on the stunt bikes took a spill right by the row of waiting bikes, getting really close to my bike and the yellow and blue cbr, I was pretty on edge. Still really fun to watch though...

Great meeting everyone and huge props to Clarkie for doing all those dyno runs. He was running a bike when I got there around 11 and didn't stop the whole time I was there (and I was there until close to 4). Thanks Clarkie!!

The 25th Anniversary VFR put down 93 horses. I was mainly interested in see the torque curve and the effect the VTEC had on it. Gene, I hope you can scan your curve and post it. Gene's VFR is a 5th generation VFR and the one many (including myself) consider the VFR with the best motor. That torque curve was beautiful. My 6th gen has an ugly torque curve with the VTEC spike but it gives great gas mileage at low RPMS. Next time I'll take the Gixxer out there so I don't feel so horsepower deficient. :)
