A friend of mine who is an office manager is looking for a core helpdesk person, 5 years experiance. You MUST have an MCSE..

Let me know and I'll send you her contact details.

Can you recommend a mid-level IT support person?

Our office is looking for a mid-level IT technician to be the sole support in our 70+ employee office. We're looking for someone who is a superstar who has 5+ years of experience. Really a techno-geek with a personality! If you know of anyone in Denver who may fit the bill, please drop me a line at work (*********@*****.**), and I can send additional information. Thanks!

Crikey. Mandatory MCSE for a Helpdesk role? Isn't that a bit lofty?

70 people your the (only) man, most of the day to day work is helpdesk, but the critical systems are yours too and for that you need MCSE.

I disagree with the MCSE part based on many, many years of experience. But you should have an easy time finding someone :)

I will let a couple of fellow techs know about this :)

Yea that was their requirement I think because they don't have any skill to actually interview the individual..

That said, if someone has equiv skills and personality I think they would do it.. One of Denvers largest accounting firms.

MCSE only means you know how to read a book and pass a test.

I run circles around MCSE Certified Individuals.

I agree. Paper Techs are no match for Years of Experience

No Idea -- it's just a friend and I'm passing along the information.

In Denver I'd expect a really good SA to make at least 50k..... Helpdesk a lot less.. Not sure where this would fit in.
