We're looking for a good Netsec engineer to help keep one of the largest eCommerce sites in the world safe. Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection, network design and troubleshooting, etc are all big "bonus point" areas, since that's what you would be doing (less on the network side, but you need the fundamentals to understand what's going on). Other helpful areas are scripting (PERL and shell) or other coding abilities, UNIX wrangling, etc. Understanding of IP is all but a must, and the ability to handle tcpdump and Wireshark analysis is also good.
In other words we'd like to find someone who can hit the ground running; uber-senior isn't a requirement, but you should at least know and have used the basics and be able to learn the rest quickly.
No I won't divulge our technology base here for obvious reasons, but if you think this might be you then let me know and I can take your resume. We're hiring for this position here in Denver, as well as San Jose or Phoenix depending on where we find the right candidate.
