good stuff Nate! where and how do you mount the camera? thats not your typical tank-cam view, and i like it. the reflection was sorta cool. i have a nice little video cam. i think it would be fun to take along on rides. i trust you guys will have an epic video from the gap for those of us that cant make it. just be sure to turn the camera off in the tent

Gramps turn the video off in the tent.....ya right  Instead of motorcycle videos making it back to Colorado you will see them on XXX sites! ;)
NIce video Nate! Glad to see you got your camera working, so we will have 2 running at the Gap. How did you like your suspension in the twisties since Marcus worked his magic? Can't wait to try mine out. I am thinking about getting a power commander before we go with a custom map....on of our techs is really good with them.....but maybe I should wait til we get back? Anyway, that camera shot is one of my favorites I took off my bike, the only thing it doesn't capture is the right hand turns very well. Keep posting up videos, something to watch besides snow falling ;)

That video was taken with a helmet cam mounted atop the left front turn signal with velcro straps. I have another that I'm working on that was taken from front-center, just below the headlights. This one has some neat effects (e.g., the reflections you noted), but the front-center view is more balanced. I'll probably get the front-center video posted later this week. Right now I'm experimenting with different locations to determine where I want to take video from at the Gap. And yes, there will be Gap video...probably at least two as I believe Wahoo will have his along as well ;). As for the tent, what happens there, stays there

How did you like your suspension in the twisties since Marcus worked his magic?I haven't been out with it yet. This video was taken before that.

that camera shot is one of my favorites I took off my bike, the only thing it doesn't capture is the right hand turns very well. Keep posting up videos, something to watch besides snow falling ;)That was the first place I tried, just because I wanted to try it out NOW and it was a quick and easy place to velcro-strap it to. Aside from the "good" reflections of the scenery to the side and the sky, this location also picked up some "bad" reflections as it got darker. You'll notice them in the Left Hand Canyon video when I get around to it. I have a few other places in mind that I'll be trying out before the Gap. There will be more videos coming as I get time. I'm having fun playing with it, but I'm gonna need some serious disk space if I keep this up :o .

On a related note, I just started playing with the streaming server as well so I would be curious to hear from people about how well (or poorly) it's working for everyone. If you have experienced issues with it, please let me know what type of internet connection you were using as well as which version of the video you were trying to view.

The videos aren't working for me Nate. They launch WMP9, but it said that either the file is corrupt, or Media Player doesn't support the format I'm trying to play.

Also, Curtis... You'll wanna wait on your custom map, till after you get back I'm thinking. It could potentially affect your performance negatively out in NC, if you dial it for out here.

I'd just let the stock FI sort things out till you get back, just to be safe. Unless ofcourse you can just disable the map while you're out there.

Thanks for the nominations! With this being my first video (ever) I'm a little concerned with how I'm going to top this for my follow-up videos

I plan to do a mixture of music in my videos, but you can bet that there will be more trance ;)

Thanks again, guys!

Cool. I have a small camera as well, i was actually going to create a mount for it. Then we could have another one for our rides, i would love to get some nice action shots of us...

I like it though, very relaxing, the sun setting thing was nice as well..

Very Sweet. Love that road myself. Usually listen to Oakenfold while on it so the music is perfect. Streamed very well too. :)
