I might be down. Depends on a couple of things. I work and go to school fulltime so getting out for a nice ride doesn't happen too often.

It's supposed to be a bit colder on Sunday so I'm gonna plan on riding both days in case Sunday gets ugly...

You're probably right, but it doesn't hurt to read this, while I am awake.

If interested, there's a sport touringish ride gathering at the Morrison Conoco 9:00a Saturday. Will be some BMW's, some XX's, a 1000RR at least.
The journey is probably... Bear Creek Canyon Evergreen, to Central City via the new Parkway, then the Peak to Peak to Lyons or Estes Park.

Could be interesting. Little early for my tastes though...

Guess we'll shoot for this tomorrow then and see how the weather holds out. Supposed to be some AM showers at this point but we'll wait and see what's going on tomorrow.
Say 10am at BP?

BP is the gas station near the corner of 287 and Baseline in Lafayette.
If the weather is nice I might be down for a ride, but I agree with skeletor, 10am is a bit early. Weather.com is saying snow around noon o'clock with a high of 45 for the day. I reckon I'm gonna keep my eye on the weather and check back here to see whats up.

Yeah, I thought about it while I was out riding today. We'd better shoot for 11-11:30 to give it a chance to warm up and see what the weather is really going to do....

I agree. Its too damn cold for my candy-ass. Maybe I should buy an old man bike with all those heaters.
Try again next week. :)

I rode on both Saturday and Sunday....it was cold as hell once you hit the foothills. I froze my #$%@ off on both rides, I must be getting old.
Even with the low temps, I'm glad I was able to log some miles this weekend!

Hear you on the temps Saturday. After the Central City Parkway rode with four others the length of the Peak to Peak and back, with spitting snow here and there. The long decline to Peaceful Valley was snow covered. Beee Smoooooth! Then things cleared up around Central City until about 10-15 minutes from home (Park County). Here I park the bike to open the garage .
