Hey ladies! Anyone planning on going to 2nd Creek tomorrow evening? I will definitely be there! The more the merrier, right? I hope to see some of you ladies out on the track as well!

Planning on being there :D

I'll be taking a minute's silence to remember Jessica before I enter the track. All are welcome to join me.

So I never raced my bike out there (only car)...what are costs and protocol?

Full protective gear is needed: gloves, boots, helmet, leather or ballistic nylon jacklet & pants, both with armour. I'd recommend a back protector too.

You don't have to tape anything up on the bike (though it's nice if you do, it's less distracting for everyone).

$45 for 5pm-dusk.

Sign the liability waiver & you're good to go :D

Are you going to join us?

Kinda broke right now (story of my life) and the weather is looking a little threatening (pretty windy here). That and it would be tight to get a sitter on this short of notice. Maybe someday if I am not so broke I will race. I will try and come watch one of these days though.

Seriously wanting to go out tonight, but as we just got back from our trip, I have MUCHO unpacking, cleaning and laundry to do....my older 2 boys are due in for a visit in just a few days!

I would MUCH prefer a night on the track, though...

I will plan for it in 2 weeks....see if I can score a truck to take the bike down, rather than riding out to the track...

I know you will have lots of fun! my thoughts for Jess as well......

We had 3 bikes there last night, with only 2 on the track at the same time pretty much all evening. HEAVEN! It cooled off a little, too, so it was perfect.

Monica, come out of lurkdom, you did great out there :D

Shana - girl, you rock. Please don't suck all the paint off my bike as you blow by me a week on Saturday  Can't wait to see that paint job...

Hanna!

I am planning on being there in 2 weeks, okay? I will probably be slow and wobbly, but I am so ready to get back into the groove and practice everything I learned at Freddie's.

Did you have a good time at Laguna? I never was able to get cell service, but I did scan the crowds looking for you!

Cool, the more the merrier :D

I didn't end up going to Laguna after all  but bet your bottom dollar I'll be there next year :D

It will be interesting to see what develops for next year....there was a lot of talk amongst the race team people that WSB has changed everything up for next year and that a number of the factories are talking about not participating because of that...

I know AMA had a big meeting on monday and that lot's of things were going to be discussed....anyway, this could be the last year of WSB as we know it.

That being said, race action on that track was intense, amazing and heart pounding! If Moto GP is there in a couple of years, we definitely will be there!!!

Meanwhile, I am lookiing forward to getting to know SCK personally!

Wow do I feel special. I had to become a "member" of this group before posting. I feel like I should say something really profound now...NA!

SCR with three ladies was a blast! I got there late because of stupid traffic, but it was so worth it to have the track so empty! I was able to really concentrate and work on some specific things. I would SOOO encourage any girls to come out. Who cares if you are slow...we are all pretty slow so you know you wont get your doors blown off while you are learning.

Monica...it was great meeting you. I cant wait to see some of the pics he (oh god, Im sorry...I forgot his name) was taking of us in some of the corners and the really cute on of us on our bikes:)

Hanna...you are totally kicking ass. You are gunna kick my ass when you get your bike set up. I cant wait for next weekend's race!

I plan on making ladies night at SCR a regular event! Thanks girls!!!

Man, I totally wish I had made it ... esp. since it WAS my post saying I would be there  Man ... I amaze myself sometimes. It looked like it was going to rain and I didn't want to chance riding out there (about a 1/2 hour ride) and end up riding home in the rain. Darnit! I will DEFINITELY be there in two weeks. What are Thursday nights all about? I don't have my tennis matches that night anymore and I heard that bikes are allowed Thursdays? What's the story?

Same deal as ladies' Tuesdays, but more bikes, with boys riding most of them

All right, I'm out of Lurkdomville, for now. As this is my first post, would someone please help me if it ends up someplace inappropriate?

Track evening at SCR on 7-15 was amazing. Thanks for all the help and smiles girls, I had lots of fun. Pictures coming shortly. (fyi, that was my brother, Joe, taking the pictures and my husband, Andrew, with the 350Z).

Question: I was in borrowed gear (my brother's one-piece racing suit) and I'd rather use my own gear. But my pants need some work (armor added and a little tailoring would be nice). Any suggestions on someone that could help me? I saw an ad for Jerry's Leather Goods on Broadway, I might give them a call. But if anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Trackdays revisited: for anyone out there that is a bit nervous about the whole idea: I was sick all day Tuesday with anxiety, so I completely understand any girl that might be worried about going. I went out there for two reasons, 1 to prove to myself that I wouldn't let my fear stop me from doing something, 2 I believe that we all need to support women's events such as these. Even though I have no interest in racing, I want to support those that do.

So, please come out. I was on a borrowed bike in borrowed gear and everyone was VERY supportive. It was so laid back with just the three of us. I even had a chance to take my 350Z on the track which was just a blast. If you have any questions, you can email me directly if you don't want to post them. (although if you have a question, others are probably wondering the exact same thing).

Enough rambling. I'm off to hide under my rock again. Please take care this weekend.

Monica
usually on a Superhawk, unless I can beg a ride on husband's 954

 Depends. If it was somewhere funny and inappropriate, then we'd probably just leave it there ;) .

It was great to meet all three of you. Looking forward to next ladies' night a week on Tuesday?

Kris Drattlo, the wife of the MRA Prez Andrew Drattlo, does amazing leather work at great prices, by all accounts. I'll be taking my IXS suit to her for alterations. If you call TK Motorsports (Andrew's shop) on (720) 904-9040, they will be able to give you her #.

 Careful now, that's exactly what I was saying a year ago, now look at me - all fired up about competing for last place at SCR in a week's time

I couldn't have put it better myself. The more the merrier, so come join us, ladies!

No, no, stay out here with the rest of us! 8)

I have the pictures from last week. They are on a CD right now. I have no idea what to do next!! I think I can figure out how to email them, if you send me your email address. Or??? Thanks for Kris' number, I met with her on Sat and bought a one-piece suit.
