Hey guys...
If I can get my tags by then, I'd definitely be interested in riding with you all.
I'm a new rider... just got a Ducati M900. I'm already pretty comfortable on it, but I'm definitely not experienced.
Certainly wouldn't want to be slowing anyone down, although my bike is faster than a bat outta hell. :guns:

So you're the rabble rouser on this BB, eh? Touche. 8)
It is a self-portrait. But of whom?
Take an art history class.
(BTW, I may be a newbie, but I'm down for a drag race. Tired of taking shit from dime-a-dozen Japanese brand X ricers  )

slowing the group down isn't an issue unless they specifically say it's a fast ride. there'll usually be a few mellower riders along too. as for the bike, the monsters are sweet... as for the speed: going fast is only 20% bike (if that on the street). food for thought. :)

Anyone know what the roads up (peak to peak or hwy 7) are looking like? I'd be down for a saturday. Don't worry felix a ninja 250 could knock me out in the straights, but everyone seems to put up with me regardless...

We should ride up 6 into Blackhawk and play some hold'em!! :bananna:
EDIT: Yo... Just read the thread about SCR on sat (Track Days and Races)...
Anybody feel like doing that, and then maybe a canyon strafe on Sunday?

That sounds like a great idea. 8) The only problem is that I will be out of town this weekend. I'll be playin' some hold 'em in Vegas. :headbang:
Maybe next time.

sorry jeff, it wasn't me.
the matter at hand is that jeff has a little wanker and tries to prove it by bragging about how "fast" he is.

Yeah, I think I'd like to continue to do SCR. Something about a BBQ, and the fact that I've actually been on it before, seem to the mitigating factors. I'm certain though, that you could find some boots to wear.
LET'S HEAR IT... WHO WANTS TO LOAN TAZ SOME BOOTS??

Oh All Right! I will get back on track.
Sunday only for me as I have one of those wonderful Ducati service appointments on Saturday. :x and am also having to go bow hunting (buying) with my Nephew on Saturday. So nicht am Samstag fur mich.

Yeah, but is SCR a good idea for a track n00b??
I have boots on the way... I'm hoping to have 'em by Sat, but I may not.

I guess dude. SCR is as good a track as any, I would assume. It's an assload cleaner than Pueblo was/is, so it's got that going for it.
Hell man, my first track experience ever, was at Laguna Seca, and I hardley crashed at all.

Performance has them in black for ~$259, Fay has the blue ones for ~$199 (not a great size selection though). I couldn't beat Fay's price online but did find 'em for $233 w/FREE Shipping here (http://host235.ipowerweb.com/~metricbi/cgi-bin/ecommerce/ac/agora.cgi?cart_id=7286494.36057*3X8dE8&p=AP_SMXP)

Alright....I am back from Mexico and needing to ride. Probably try to get out on Sunday. I need some track time and will hit either SCR or IMI depending on the time I have available to me. Sounds like a good time at SCR. Would be nice to get a card and save some money though if enought are going. I checked the track forum and looks like a good crowd both days. I will stay posted and see what everyone is doing.

I'll try IMI, especially if it's Sunday.... I'm pretty solid with that. Saturday looks weak.
Or take a canyon ride (twist, twist - "ow, stop"). I'm easy with either one!

Looks like at least Gramps and I will be going to IMI, don't think I will have enough time to get to SCR to get my $$ worth and haven't riden for a LONG time....ARGGG. We can take some BBQ stuff there too. I will check with Tom and see about times.

In the interest of minimizing confusion, let's kill this thread and use the two threads below instead. One covers Saturday and the other covers Sunday:
