Thanks everyone for a great day in the sun. I am sure SCR would have been nice too. It was a great day to get back on the bike and get the "feel" again.
Chrisitine: get that chain and sproket fixed ASAP! ;) Christine broke and chain and lost some teeth, luckily did not cause any accidents at all.
Gramps (tom): The next time you want to pic a fight with a motard dude keep your helmet on  There was a very irrisponsible motard guy that was diving into corners, Gramps let him have it ;)
Nate: Thanks for some excitement bro. At least you got the low side done here and not at Deals Gap.....video was okay doesn't look like anything really went wrong. Yes, Nate had his camera going during his little incident. I am sure he will post it up :D
For everyone esle good to see you or meet you. Lil Diddy thanks for cooking the food for everyone too. ;)

Once your hear is souther redneck voice start saying F*CK YOU, you no its serious  Wasn't a huge deal but Gramps spoke his mind as did a few of us. This guy was basically an ASS. We moved on and had good day.....needless to say that rider did not go back out on the next session with us

Thanks for letting the new guy tag along today... had a lot of fun... looking forward to getting out again... just need to get used to this CO sun... got completely burned... didn't notice it until I got home. At least in Vegas when the sun was shining it was friggin' hot... :P

Anyway, thanks again.

Yeah, what a way to spend a nice spring day! That is a sweet little track, especially for my 2-valve aircooled wonder. And for $25 to spend 6 hours out there, 20-on, 20-off; that's a hell of a deal.

Nate, I'm glad you and the bike are pretty much fine - the slider really saved the day & your leathers look authentic now. :P Really spooked me though!

Gramps, I had a few close calls with the Motard Moron myself - he actually hit my handlebars one time! There are places to pass, and then there are just plain bad moves! What a doofus - we should have let him have it with Christine's chain! Oh, wait I guess we're a club, not a gang (sigh). He deserved it though. :x :guns:

Actually, it turned out to be great fun, in spite of some asshole. I didn't realize how tired I was until I got home and sat down.

Good to meet so many new (to me) faces. Good call on the Q - I'd do it again. :D :D

Damn I missed Gramps gettin in some guys face? Some peoples kids! Some people out at IMI seem to take track days a little too serious. I had a problem with a cart guy when I took my kids and their pocket bike out there once. When did it happen? I noticed one guy on a motard workin his way through traffic till he got up to Gramps and couldnt get by. I thought he almost hit him a few times. Was this the guy? I dont remember what he was riding.

White/Red (Honda?) All black leathers.

Sorry I missed the verbal abuse scene - that would have really made my day! btw Gramps: thanks for the track intro, your lines are right on dude!

Nate: Thanks for some excitement bro. At least you got the low side done here and not at Deals Gap.....video was okay doesn't look like anything really went wrongMy pleasure :P. I've watched the video a few times now and I'm still not sure what happened -- aside from loss of friction :D. It really isn't that exciting, but I may post it for everyone to enjoy at my pride's expense...and so it can be analyzed ad nauseum. Constructive feedback would be appreciated :). I think this incident has satisfied the recent lust I've had for mother earth .

the slider really saved the day & your leathers look authentic nowI woke up this morning and realized that I had never tested either of those protective devices. I'm happy to report that both worked quite well.

sorry to loose my temper like that, the guy was just being stupid, so i told him what i thought of him. just the redneck coming out in me.When I saw the bird flying between you two on one of the laps, I figured somethin was up. I ain't never seen no pissed off redneck bfor  Great entertainment!

Yeah, kinda sucks, but if today was my day, I'm glad it turned out the way it did. The CBR has already been cleaned up (due in part to Wahoo's comment that it looked as bad as his ). Damage looks to be pretty minor, but I'll give it a closer look tomorrow.

Aside from a few minor difficulties (Christine's chain, motard crash in front of me, Tom's motard encounter, Klassik's motard encounter, and my lowside), it was a great day! It was really good to see / meet everyone and to get back on the track for a few laps. Thanks to Lil Diddy for BBQing and to everyone that stopped to help / check on me following my lowside.

:bananna: i had a great 1st track day! thanks to everyone who gave me pointers and riding slow so i could follow. well try to follow anyway. i was very pleased. i learned more about my bike today, than the entire time i have owned it. the motard dudes were a little intimidating for me, but most were cool about when they passed. those carts are amazingly fast. i think it would be fun to take one of them up in the mountains. i'm sun burned and happy. looking forward to next time. 8)

Hey Nate don't feel so all alone, I had a pretty good get off today myself  I feel so Hooptyish :lol:Think we could get a discount on Hoopty's "Crashing 101" course? I mean, if we're gonna crash, we may as well learn to do it correctly.

TAZ: Please disregard my earlier comment about sliders being for cosmetic purposes only

damn, my legs are STILL sore after Sunday @ IMI. When can we go again? I want to run that track backwards and work on my right-hand corners. Thanks again for the great day, I'm still amped up thinking about it. :zap:

It was nice to see everyone on Saturday. Sorry I had to leave so early and missed the Nate Spectacular! :( Glad to hear you are OK and the bike is not too bad. Yep Gramps that asshat deserved being hooked up with CBRChicks chain. Oh well it was a fun day.

Cheers.
