Feeling out options...

Okay...
Not that I don't like generous friends - but its not in my personality to accept free room & board for any extended period of time.

Therefore...
I'm putting feelers out there for the theory of renting a house, and looking for roommates... perhaps some time in May... whether that be early or late or somewhere in between. Honestly I can move just about any time with some able bodies and a truck.

Location/House:
- I'm wanting to stay in the Littleton/Highlands Ranch/DTC/Inverness/Meridian-rapidly accessable area. I've lived in Littleton for 18 years, and HR for 2... I like South-Suburban Denver tremendously.
- Obviously a garage is of critical importance - not for the car - but for the bike(s). Unless I have no other choice my babies do not get left out in the rain.
- A washer/dryer either included or hookups in place are needed too.
- Broadband (cable preferred, but DSL acceptable) capable/pre-wired ideally.

Otherwise I'm pretty flexible on size depending on cost to roommate numbers required.

Roomate(s):
- Resonsibilitity is a must - holding and keeping a job is important --- especially responsibility to pay portion of rent and bills on time. What you do to earn your money is irrelevant so long as it doesn't cause the DEA, FBI, or Homeland Security to raid the house and leave me and my bike(s) homesless.
- I'd prefer a non-(cigarette)smoker, but can live with if it is done with consideration (back porch, garage, somewhere outside of the main body of the house). I lived with smokers the first 22 years of my life - I can handle the smell but prefer not to be directly in the path of the smoke.
- Drinking quantity or frequency is irrelevant to me so long as you aren't a violent drunk, or are the kind of person who when drunk loses the capability to unlock the door and tries to get in by breaking out a window... because I'm a light sleeper and might pop a cap in your ass thinking you're a burgler.

Otherwise I'm pretty flexible.
Age and gender is not terribly relevant... well... okay... over 21 definately. Guys have some disgusting habits too... so... there may be a preference towards female roommates based on these habitual male behavior patterns I've worked so hard to overcome that so many haven't. Nevermind... I'm rambling.

I'm sure there are other things I need to consider... but #1 - I'm extraordinarily new to this whole "single" thing... and #2 - the Dayquil is STILL fubar'ing my concetration so I'm not thinking totally straight.

Oh yeah... I was hoping to find a house and appropriate # of roommates that would allow the cost to be kept to under $500/mo rent... IDEALLY under $500/mo rent and utilities... so probably 1-3 roommates will be needed depending on the location & cost of the abode.

you might want to contact Project Mayhem or whatever project he is currently. I believe he has one or 2 rooms available at his place and it has a garage!

and he's in Aurora... if you go with the finding a house to rent option i'd be down with that. i think we'd get along fine compatibility wise. i'd just add to the list that respect for the fellow occupants and their stuff is a must.

There are always a several houses for rent right out in my area (westridge Highlands Ranch). IF I get approved for a loan, and if my current land lord is not interested in selling our current place to me (which I am kinda thinking she is not going to), our place will be up right around May....3 bed, 3 bath, 2 car, $1300 is what we pay.

ive hot a townhouse for rent at Iliff and Dayton. The complex is Windstream Condominuims. 2 bed, 2 bath, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, washer dryer, digital cable /internet ready, 1 car garage. Very nice place.

I have a room in my house that you could rent in Castle Rock area. It's a bit further than you had asked for but the house does have a garage. I'm also not home very often...usually gone during the better part of the night and sleep during the days. Just let me know.

I have a room for rent in my condo at I-25 and Dry Creek in the Saddle Ridge complex. It has private bathroom, use of the fitness center, pool, private parking space, cable TV and cable internet plus all utilities for $550 per month. It's a nice neighborhood and very close to Park Meadows, DTC, I-25 access, etc.

Let me know if you're interested. I'm 29, professional, very active and I get along well with almost anyone.
