Just read on 9News.com that there was a fatal motorcycle accident this afternoon near 80th and Wadsworth. Sounds like a car pulled out in front of the bike. Nothing else to identify who it was. Damn people in cars need to pay attention.
RIP

Damn. Always hate to hear the speculation of a rider taken out by a motorists mistake. =\

That's a shame but you can't totally blame the person in the car. If you're on a bike, (like hubby says) you need to assume the people in the cars don't see you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's totally the rider's fault either. I think in this instance, it's the fault of both people. But no matter who's fault it is, it's not something anyone wants to hear about.

I have no idea who's fault it is. I can't even begin to speculate if it was the driver's, rider's, or shared.

I just hate to hear about stories that "allude" to it being a motorist fault. Those always bum me out, especially if they turn out to be accurate.

Who's to say who's at fault though. :dunno: W/out a witness here, we're just guessing.

The newscast said that "it appeared the bike had right of way, one man died at the scene" and with her ever present smile continued to the weather.

Has anyone else noticed after riding you're more attentive in a cage going down the road?

Absolutely.

That's just wrong.... funny, but wrong.

I don't expect ANY car to look out for me....EVER. Don't even need them to. That's my job. As soon as I give up that job to the cage driver...I'm dead.

Let's just assume everybody else on the road is a mass murderer and we're the first target. :x

Cry if you must but remember... a couple hundred children died in the world in the time it took me to post this.
RIP to all.

RIP

Just because you have right of way doesn't mean you're going to get it. Make no assumptions! Stay alert & stay alive. :|

A guy at work asked me if I had heard anything about this. If this is the same crash he was talking about, he said the rider was wearing full gear.

RIP

Yes I do... I feel that I've become a better, more attentive driver now, (not that I wasn't before) and I am definitely more aware of my surroundings!

i was out in that area yesterday and there were a ton of bikes out, as well as alot of jerks that were riding my ass because i was going the speed limit down wads.. fookers. :321:

Oh and also, to those that start revvin your engines and trying to get bikers to race, just stop. seriously. you are all jackasses and not every person on a bike is out to burn your ass or your focus, mkay?

When I get in my cage I am more attentive. However I have a hard time trying to keep my truck in the right side of the lane.
