My wife and I are new to the sportbike scene - just picked up a Mint - I mean MINT!! 95 Triumph Trophy 1200 and we are looking for other riders in the Boulder area to cruise with, do some canyon carving and the like.

We are both self-employed so not always confined to the weekends.

Looking forward to meeting more members,

Scott & Lori

I have a 92 CBR600 F2, havn't gone riding with anyone yet, but the "boulder area" crew meet at the BP in lafayette at 287 and baseline.

also check the Northern CO section, anything north of denver is the Northern CO section :)

Welcome

Boulder huh....we just went through there today and stopped for lunch after a long canyon ride. There is a northern ride that people do, and there is also a crew that meets at the Conoco off C-470 and Morrison on the weekends....from Boulder, that is a fairly quick ride back down 93 and into Morrison, so you might try meeting up with some of us there too.

Typically somewhere around 9 or 10 am....however, I want to start sunday rides for us lazy people-something after 1pm where I can sleep in.
I won't be going tomorrow, spending yet another weekend house shopping because people are being bastards when it comes to selling their houses.

Welcome! I'm out here on the east side of boulder. Like flyboy said the guys who are north metro/boulder county tend to meet at the BP at baseline and 287, but they're all riding Deal's Gap down in NC this week. We've run peak to peak a few times this winter, and i think the routes will get longer and more interesting as the high roads open up.

I'm always a day behind reading these. Had to ride solo yesterday (out of stupidity I guess). Definately a great day to ride, except for the friggin butterflies! I was cleaning yellow crap off my me and the bike for a half hour after the ride!

Me too. I rode to work this morning, and I could still smell those nasty bugs through the vents on my helmet! Mmmmm... :yumyum:

Dang, :( I also always seem to be a day behind. I rode up Coal Creek yesterday and it was in fairly good shape. A little sand and a few places where the runoff was crossing the road but a beautiful day. After that it was back to the house for the MotoGP races and then to tear the bike apart. I hope we will meet up some time.

Ride Safe.

It was a good day. I met up with Scott and Lori in Boulder and we went up Boulder Canyon to Ned and then up to Blackhawk/CC to the parkway to 70 to 6 to 93 to home. Great weather and plenty of bugs for everyone! At least most people got out this weekend, even if it was a solo ride, it was too good of a weekend to not ride.

Couldn't have said it better. Anyone planning ahead for next weekend? Should be good weather again. Showing mid 60's right now.

Next weekend doesnt look too good for me. My daughter's Bday is coming up and we bought a play set for the back yard. There are about 3 million parts to assemble, so I think I know what I will be doing instead of riding. If anyone wants to come over and help put it together, I will supply the beer/food!

Aside from my Triumph, I drive an 03 VW Eurovan that has also been modified - If you live anywhere in Boulder County you can probably hear me cruisin around town.

lol, I am a Euro car junkie (as well as other types of junkiness, as suki pointed out). I grew up with the things, learned to drive on a Lotus, then a BMW M5. Drove a Merkur for a couple years (till Soundtrack burned it to the ground). I just recently purchased my first Audi (I am still young and too poor to afford nice things), black 1993 Audi 90, cherry condition, tinted the windows dark as hell, 15x7" Audi wheels, and just got an Intrax 2 inch drop kit for it. Due to Colorado weather, I don't think I am going to put a body kit on it though.
My dad is looking to sell his gray market M5 BMW (1988, very fast), as well as 1 or 2 of his Lotus'. Also, my mom recently got a Jetta as her daily driver (so has not to rack up the miles on her nice car) so my dad is always up for little dub things he can do to it without spending too much on it (my mom doesn't want it all modded out for some reason).
I also have a Mustang LX coupe that is an ongoing project car (modded 5.0, pretty quick...still want a 351 for it) and a Tahoe that we just bought for the family...need a drop kit and some bling for that too. My sister has been seen cruising around-she has a black Typhoon with corvette wheels, upgraded turbo, exhaust, suspension, etc. etc., as well as a Camaro (1983) that she dropped a police interceptor V8 into, and a 66 Chevelle pro street drag car. I think that covers it for now....
