Riding Sat. 4/23?

Anyone up for riding on Sat? Preferrably in the Boulder County area, but I could cuise south as well.

I must warn you - I am a novice on the sportbike, so I might not be as fast as some of you other riders, but what I lack in experience I make up for with........... ok, I'm just a novice all around. Anyway, I'm not trying to set any land speed records - just looking for a good cruise with some good company......and to piss off as many people in cars that I can.

yea, after noon ride for me would be best, prob like 3 i'd say is when id be back, but i can always catch up somewhere.

I may be down for a little bit of riding on Saturday afternoon ... where were you thinking of meeting? Any ideas of where you would want to ride?

And no problem on being a novice! It's awesome that you want to ride your own ride ... too many people hurt themselves trying to ride outside of their limits ... and it would be nice to not do a balls-to-the-wall ride for a change :D Hmm ... actually seeing the scenery for once ... sounds nice :lol:

If I ride on the north side of town, I was thinkin Golden Gate Canyon, Peak2Peak, Central City Parkway - but I'm open to anything.

I can do an early afternoon ride. I have to be home by 5 so i can be to work in Parker by 6. But hey, I made it no prob last Sat and had a good day of riding to boot and I was still NW of Boulder around 4.

I'd be down for hitting Hwy 7 for a little while. I probably won't be home til almost time to head out for a ride so I won't be pushing too hard. Gonna be wiped out from the 26 hour trip back from the Dragon...

I would love to but I am getting the scooter all put back together on Saturday for a Sunday track day. :( I will make it next time. ;)

I know I'm gonna catch %#@$& for this because I started this thread - but I'm gonna have to wait till tomorrow afternoon to see if I can ride. I got stung by a wasp on the top of my right hand and now its so swollen I don't know if I can grip the throttle. I'm gonna try a short ride today (if I can even get my glove on) and see how uncomfortable it is. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow, caus I definately don't want to pass up a beautiful Sat. afternoon ride. Assuming all is well, Maybe we can meet at the Loaf n Jug on 93 in Golden about 2:30? Really, I'm open to anything - I hate being the desicion maker - yes, I'm just a sheep, the black sheep, but just a sheep.

I was thinking of trying to hit all 4 canyons between golden and boulder.

Up Clear Creek Canyon to the Central City Parkway to 119 then down Golden Gate Canyon to 93, then up Coal Creek Canyon to 119 to Nederland and finally down Boulder Canyon back to town.

Think that can be done in a couple hours?

Just depends on how fast you want to go ;) There may be more traffic at that time in the day, we may only be able to go Peak to Peak and call it a day.

I gotta be back home by 3 or 4 tomorrow.
However, would anyone be interested in coming up to the loveland area at about 11 or noon? We could run up to Estes, run through peak to peak, and come back into boulder. By the time we got back I could peel off and whoever could make your way back to Lafayette for the 3 o'clock.


Edit: Me and ,hopefully, some other people will be meeting in Fort Collins at JJ's on the corner of Harmony and Taft between 1130-1200. If anyone is interested LMK,
