I know it's a couple of weeks off yet, but I thought I'd throw this out.
I'm tentatively planning to ride to Colorado Springs on Friday, May 20, about noonish, and wanted to find out who else would be interested in riding down about that time. The time is not set in stone, but I'm wanting to get down there ahead of rush hour on both ends of the ride -- did I mention I hate rush hour traffic? Based on who shows an interest, we can determine an appropriate meeting place.
I'm also interested in finding out if anyone in the area is definitely going to cage it down there on Friday and if so, if they would be willing to transport a bag for me. I can probably get everything on the bike, but if someone is going to drive down, I'd prefer to throw it in a cage.

Decision time kiddos...Who's going? What time are we leaving? Where are we meeting? Are we eating before, during, or after the trip?
There is another group leaving from southeast about the same time we had originally talked about. We would need to leave a little earlier than planned, but we could hookup with them and ride down. Scribbler has setup a brunch deal down in Parker at 1100. Departure would follow around 1200-1230. Route likely to be 83 to the Springs. See this thread (http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16594&highlight=).
We could head straight down I25. Prolly the quickest if you're in a hurry to get there.
If you want to take a more scenic/slower route, we could head down deckers or something. I know some of you have never been down that way. In light of the increased traffic enforcement and the fact that it is AMA weekend at PPIR, this would indeed be a "scenic" ride.
Think about it and let's discuss and finalize at Woody's Wednesday night.

I vote for brunch with Scribbler and and nice leisurely ride through the mountains. I'm in no hurry to get there, just to get on the bike and ride. I have never been on the deckers road. With all my gear, I'll be taking it easy, so cops shouldn't be a concern (knocks on wood). As long as we're all together on bikes, we might as well ride, and if there is a mountain route to get where we're going, I say we take it.

I'm gonna make it to Scib's brunch, and then just 25'it down to the E Suites. No Deckers for me, considering my current license situation. I don't care how scenic I intend to be.

I'm riding down. Sometime between 11AM and 3PM. Route to remain anonymous --- and within 500 clicks of the odometer :D
Deal this through PM if you want to hook up.
