Woodys Wood Fired Pizza
1100 US 287
Broomfield CO 80020-7079

Map (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&addtohistory=&formtype=address&searchtype=address&cat=&address=1100%20Us%20Highway%20287&city=Broomfield&state=CO&zipcode=80020%2d7079&zoom=6)

Woody's is in the [strike:7b0052e3f3]strip[/strike:7b0052e3f3] shopping center on the east side of US 287 between 10th Ave and Miramonte. While the [strike:7b0052e3f3]strip[/strike:7b0052e3f3] shopping center is easy to find, Woody's is directly behind Burger King so it's a little more difficult to spot from US 287. Just turn into the [strike:7b0052e3f3]strip[/strike:7b0052e3f3] shopping center and head toward Burger King.

NOTE: You can turn into the [strike:7b0052e3f3]strip[/strike:7b0052e3f3] shoppnig center directly off of US 287 if you're coming from the south, but you'll have to come in from Miramonte or 10th Ave if you're coming from the north.

36 to the Broomfield/287 exit and head North on 287 for +- 1 mile and then you will see 10th street on your right and then you're there. Since you are coming up anyway, you might as well come to the movie later that night.

WOW! That was quite a turnout last night!

Next week, May 25, we're scheduled to be back at Brecks as the Rockies will be in Milwaukee. Our next northern night is scheduled for June 1.

I'd be interested in hearing everyone's impressions thus far. I'm going on the assumption, based on prior comments, that Hooters is out of the running for the Rockies-Home-Game Wednesday Night gatherings, primarily due to the environment/atmosphere not being comfortable/appropriate for everyone that might be interested in attending. That being the case, comments should probably focus on last night's gathering at Woodys and/or suggestions for other places that we might want to consider for future gatherings.

Keyser Soze
Thu May 19th, 2005, 11:13 AM
Woody's is definately a good spot. Now all we have to do is try and work out some specials. If we can get that many people to show all the time, I dont think that should be a problem.

Gramps
Thu May 19th, 2005, 11:33 AM
i thought it was a blast :D

we had a good turnout, the food is pretty decent, we got out of there pretty cheap i thought, no cigarette smoke to deal with, free parking, wait staf did a respectable job, the ticket was easy to split, etc.

i had a good time and thought this atmosphere is what i was looking for in our meeting spot

i would even ga as far as say that brecks may become the alternate spot :dunno: and woodys is more of the norm 8)

Got to agree with Tom - I thought Woody's was great. Reasonably priced, decent food, plenty of parking. I'd be up for making it a regular spot.

Thu May 19th, 2005, 11:48 AM
I would agree with everything said... I think Woody's is the answer to our Wednesday night north meeting spot.

I could pretty easily only go to Brecks for special gatherings and events and start hitting Woody's for our normal meeting spot...

Mr. Turbo
Thu May 19th, 2005, 11:56 AM
Woody's turned out to be a great deal. I think the only thing we need now (as keyser said) is a CSC special!

swademaster
Thu May 19th, 2005, 02:17 PM
 Woody's is cool with me  My reasons come from being a parent that likes to bring his kid with: Kids eat free on Wednesday, I could let Blake run around more on the patio than I could inside, and Blake enjoys looking at the bikes.
