First and foremost...
WELCOME!
Where are you coming from? Elsewhere in Colorado or new to the area entirely? Because you'll find very quickly if you aren't familar with the Colorado high country the entire state was made for riding as soon as you head into the foothills and go west... twisties galore. Some are breathtaking just to ride at sustained sub-par speeds, some are lightning fast S-curves, some are beautiful slow sweeps that keep you at a 30+ degree angle for what seems like forever. And the scenery... well... again if you aren't familar with Colorado high country... will simply leave you in awe.
There is also Second Creek Raceway in the north-eastern part of town out by DIA for some good track time.
Again... Welcome... the South-Central is the best side of town too BTW!

We are moving from N Cali!! so we are not really sure where anything is yet!! I have heard that the roads out here are great!! better then most of the roads in N cali!! haven't done much riding lately due to all the rain we have been getting out here. Can't wait to get the bike off the trailor unpack my leathers and go for a ride!! :) )
Thanks for the info!! do you guys have group rides, in this area?

Welcome to Colorado, it's always good to increase the number of good riders in the area! I'm sure you'll like the riding here. We get about 300 days a year of sun and I would guess that 200 of those would be good for motorcycling.
There are more good roads in the area than you can probably imagine. There is a group that meets up at a local gas station every Saturday, and a quick post to the board can almost always find you a couple of riding buddies. My GF and I try to ride on Sunday mornings and you would be welcome to join us if you wanted.
In addition to SCR there is a little go-kart track just north of here called IMI that you can ride your bike on during the week. It's about 1 mile around, but has a ton of turns. Good cheap fun.
Again welcome, glad you found the CSC site!

Most definately - group rides nearly every weekend (Sat & Sun) that the weather is acceptable. And depending on how enthusiastic you are --- I'd disagree with Scott and say there are a lot more than 200 riding days a year. More like there's 200 good nearly-CONSECUTIVE riding days... from about late October to Mid-March its sporatic - but still quite often very ridable days exist. My birthday is at the end of December - and every year but one that I've had a motorcycle I've been able to ride for at least a couple hours during the day. Colorado is a beautiful place to be... and a more beautiful place to ride! You'll love it here!

Almost any weekday they allow it. It's good cheap fun, last I was there it was $20 for unlimited time. If they get paying customers for the Karts who aren't comfortable with you out there they kick you off for a little bit, but it's never been a problem for me.
Generally you can't get the bike on there during the weekends as they are too busy with regular customers or maybe a scheduled race.
Have fun!

IMI is now $25 for the day. I have only been out there once, but it was lots of fun. 8)

We are moving to the Aurora area. We just bought one of the new homes that they are building in Conservatory Area. I have a feeling I'll be unemployed for a few weeks while I find a job!! So while my other half is at work I can go ride, if anyone wants to show me around!! :)

I live in highlands ranch, which is west of where you will be. However, west is where all the twisties are, so that shouldn't be an issue ;)
Oh yeah, and just so my reputation isn't ruined, I am gonna have to get you to call me a bitch at least once :D

They are from Cali, and we all know how people from Cali ride/drive
I'm sure someone will be pissed off by that comment..
I mean welcome.. you're gonna be right over by myself and like 34985739487 other people from the club... but only like 5 are worth a damn, myself included of course..
Don't count on the weather always being nice.. It has snowed every month in this state... but when it's nice.. oh boy..
Just watch out for the idiot cagers, avoid Highlands Ranch (soccer mom central), and Bertha.. avoid him at all costs, he's not right in the head..
Oh yeah, so when's the party?
ps - I like to think of myself as an ass, don't mind me.

I'm in Englewood at the moment. Moving back into Littleton in about a week from now.
Couldn't make the ride last week. It was my weekend with the kids pt2 because I don't have them for the next two weekends. If you're going to Breck's tonight and will be there late (like until at least 9) you'll see her... or she'll be there at PPIR all weekend... or the Euro-bike gathering... or the ride the next day if there is one.
You can even touch her if you'll explain why the hell you're Batman but your avatar is Spawn. :?

Yes... you can touch her. But no licking her like Jeff did up by Mt. Evans.
I go wherever there is a good ride brewing when I'm available!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!!! I will post something up when we get there or when we get our internet up at the house!!! Is there a place that everyone meets up weekly in the area?? It would be nice to meet some new people that can show us around, since we know all of two people out there!! :) :)

Breckenridge Brewery downtown every Wednesday evening actually! All year long.
Though there's beginning to be some discention against this from those dang Northerners!
There is also likely to be a revival of Friday's at Fridays - either in Aurora or Park Meadows. We'll see about that though.
Feathered upstart!

Wednesday nights are bike night at the Breckenridge Brewery in down town Denver.
Most active member of the club can be found there.
