I took my MSF course in July of 2001, and haven't looked back since. You're gonna love it :D

Yep...he had the great idea that I would take his bike...and he would NEED a new one...hehe. That was before the gear went out all together. I want a smaller bike to begin anyway...I am 5'3...105...and want to feel like I have some control between my legs :lol:

Yeah I think Trav's bike is a bit much for a beginner ... just too much power. Hell if you rev 1st high enough and shift twice into 3rd, you don't even need 2nd! :lol:

You might look at the Ninja EX500 bikes. They're great for beginners, very smooth and predictable, forgiving, etc. Also cheap to fix. And it's a Kawi, so Trav can keep his all-Ninja garage. ;)

Been hanging in there; it's been a turbulent few weeks for me but I'm getting through it, spending a lot of time doing what I want to do (partying more, working in the garage a lot, riding my ass off, working at the track until I can race, etc).

Me and the lady have broken up. :( That and a huge list of other shit that all blew up on me in the span of like 4 days put me into a week and a half long bender, but now that I've gotten that out of my system I'm having one of those "find myself" phases and pretty much trying to do anything I can that seems like fun. So far it has been enlightening... ;)

*sigh* ;) Go to your profile settings. You can upload an avatar pic there (the image under your name) or use one of the 600 or so that I already have in there. Also for quotes, you can put whatever you want in your signature.

If you mean the title under your name, you get something automatically based on post count, if it's custom that gets assigned by Bob or myself if we're feeling saucy that day. :D

Good to see another female. My words of advice:
Never listen to what a man says! That rule goes in every part of life.
Also, the number one thing with a bike is it fitting you, all power thoughts aside. A 500 will not win the races, but it will get you there. I had a friend with one and rode it more than once, but at 6 feet tall it was not a happy time. But it was fine on power. If you don't like that, try like a CBR f3 or something like that...mostly sit on all you can, feel how your feet are planted and rock a little side to side and see how you feel. If you feel like it is going to tip over, or that your feet are not well planted (both of them), then it is probably not the right bike for you.
