Well, this is encouraging! I'm glad to see that there a a few girls out there with as much (little!) experience as I have. I've completed the MSF course, have a bike, zipped around a few streets, but now what?! You see, my bike is used and I believe I don't have all the parts that should come with it. Where the heck are the balls that I need to ride the thing?! Since hubby called me Speed Demon today (yeeha, 40mph!), I know that with each time I jump on my BABY NINJA  , I'm gaining more confidence. I can't say when I'll be ready to ride with a group, but I look forward to doing so. Ladies night out - that I can do!

Hi Tania! Glad to see ya on the board :D Very cool to know ya got your own ride :) Baby Ninja or not, that's all ya need to get started. Ride, ride, ride....I believe the balls come later  Before ya know it, we'll be seeing ya on an R6...a his and hers kinda thing. Hmmm, wouldn't Bob be happy  ;) Yes we definitely need to work on a Ladies Night thing...that would definitely rock!

Welcome!!! always like another lady around to keep these guys in check. ok, i'm gonna start a new thread about lady's night to see what kinda support we would get so we can start planning something for later this month. all talk and no action so far (just like a guy) so i'm gonna get this thing going.

I suppose it would be rude of me to not publicly welcome my wife to the board (even though I was there when she joined), so welcome, honey! :D
Uh oh, Bob's gonna have to start behaving himself now that you're on here... You imply that I wasn't behaving myself previously. :321: You know as well as I do that you don't have to be a member of the board to read the posts! ;)
hubby called me Speed Demon today (yeeha, 40mph!)Actually, it was more like 30 mph, but the full tuck & high rev's in 2nd gear made it seem faster. :P

Hey Tonia!
just wanted to pipe up and say it was great to meet you the other night!
good for you for deciding to learn. I think that it's great for couples to share the experience together...some of our most cherished memories are bike related.
meanwhile, just practice, practice, practice! I would go over the SouthGlenn's parking lot on sunday mornings and practice my stops and starts, shifting, keeping my eyes up, and anything else I could remember from the MSF class.
;) :D

Thorn - Two of us in one parking lot?! That sounds risky.
Good luck on your course. Talk to you soon!
shacheri - Nice meeting you too! Have a great time in Italy. Have a mochiatta latte and black cherry gelatti for me! Then have a another, and another! Bob and I gained a combined weight of 17lbs on our 2 1/2 week trip to Europe. So much for my theory that food is calorie-free on vacation! ;)

About time!!!! Awesome, Tania, I'm soooooo stoked you're riding! Good on ya, girl. I remember talking to you in the holding area at the St Paddy's day parade and you were all "Well maybe...."

Thanks for the, "Way to go," Surfinspacegirl! The idea was always there, so when I received the mailing about the course, it was only a matter of time. I was surprised that I had to wait a month to get a booking. things are going well. Yesterday I went out for a ride but decided to come home because I didn't want to worry Bob. Prior to that, my pounding heart had me chugging home after one spin around the block! Sure enough, when I returned to the pale face waiting for me, the first thing he said was, "Next time bring you phone!"
I truly have to thank Bob for taking time out of his busy day ;) to allow me the time to ride. Everytime I'm out there, I analyze every move I make, and he is there to help with suggestions.
Good luck with your racing, Surfinspacegirl, hope to see you soon.

Music to my ears :D I'm stoked for you, Tania. Once I get a street ride (I don't think the SV will see the street again any time soon) we'll have to go for a spin. Hope to see you at the races. Are you & Bob and the kids coming to SCR?

We're off to Pueblo for the week-end. Kiddies and all. Bob will be corner working on Sunday. I'm not sure if it is the whole day, or just the afternoon.
Bob? :?
It's like he's reading over my shoulder, even though he's at work!
