Hey Kelly,
I'd take your work to Scott and Mike at Morse Fiberglass on 3105 N Cascade Ave, 266-8630. Also see their website. These guys do great work as I've had first hand experience. They're riders/racers as well.

any and all suggestions are welcome.

all suggestions?? Ummm John Bennet is in the Springs and paints Carrol Shelby's (of Shelby Cobra fame) personal cars... they do everything (prep and finishing) and it's all done by hand... for a bike, well it probably wont set you back more than a couple thousand tops... but it'll be the most beautiful paint you've ever seen on a bike.

Morse is a way better option money wise and they do good work. i've seen quite a few morse painted bikes and they are sweet.

You could also look into going to Cynister Cycles. He is also a club sponser. He did some work to my R6. It was good, and cheap. He did all the prepping, sanding and smoothing.

All of Cynister's paintwork is being done by Morse.
You might as well just go to the source.
Did you go to the Morse website?

just an update.

i had silvbullet paint my bike.
great guy to deal with and the prices are very reasonable.

it took alittle longer then i excepted, but with a custom color, the rims getting painted, and the cold weather i understand.

the bike is black with some gold flake (it looks black until you get close to it.
the rims were painted a gold/bronze mix (similar to the racing rims) with a matte finish.

steve will be where tomorrow to polish it all up.

once i can make it home before the sun sets, i will get some pics up.

i highly recomend steve (silvbullet)
great work.

Wow.

it didnt take 2 1/2 months

i didnt get the bike to him as quickly as i wanted to. plus i had to get the rims off (i had to borrow a front stand) and find something close to teh color i wanted the rims.

we told me it would take ~3-4 weeks (since he has a part time job, and paint on the side) it ended up taking just under 6 weeks. no bigge.

i guess with a custom color, painted rims, the cold of winter and him working part time, it is to be expected :)

Bike looks amazing Kelly. For all of the custom paint you had 6 weeks is reasonable. I like the wheels as well. Black and Gold are always a good combination.

Looks good.I'm not a fan of gold but that is tastefully done.Although I bet that gold flake pops in the sun pretty bright.Pics don't do paint jobs justice.

Hey Kelly,
The bike looks fantastic- great color choices!
Although… Shouldn’t one of your machines be equipped with a 12 o’clock bar and a Freestyle cage??? Or is this your new canyon carving only ride?
Is the F4i still healthy?
But seriously, good luck with your move/PCS.

tom- i got the bike in sep :)
it is what im gonna use for the street, the stuntbike just isnt cutting it :)

bashed. i agree, pics never do paint justice, i figured i would put them up anyway. it might help some one looking in the future :)

as for the gold,
it is real suttle, the rims are matte (so there is no bling) and the flake only shows up in direct sunlight, kinda like a midnight blue, but in black gold :)
