This area used to have a lot of rides and people getting together. I wonder why it doesn't happen anymore. I know rides and meetings happen because I have been on them. They are just not posted.

The reason I don't post them is because of threats and personal confrontational conflict. It is too bad a few punks shut this down.

Meetings stopped because once Brizz left, no one including myself had a personality that could hold a group together. To bad. After going on some rides, I find some people don't want to post up because they just don't want to hang with some people.

Age, lifestyle and chemistry seem to factors in making divisions or cliques. A couple of my friend bought bikes one today in fact. Once we get going perhaps I will post up again. I think I will head out and get a bite to eat because it is a nice day.
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, I miss Brizz too.

I can't help feel a little responsible for the death of this sub-forum. I pledge to leave the "opinion page" dribblings in General Discussion or maybe some other forum entirely. I will only post ride & get together responses in this sector.

Anyone feel like throwing out wild nominations for SoCo moderator?

I nominate RAGrote.

I don't live in the Southern area, but I'd love to get together and meet everyone, especially for rides, etc. I'm a bit of a " social butterfly, " and anytime anyone wants to get together, give me a holler. It's been a couple of weeks since I've spoken to Brizz, but I'm sure he'd want everyone to continue getting together while he's away. :)

I don't know if you remember me but we rode togather once last summer and I would ride with you again. We should post up here more often about rides and stuff. I'll try to be more social when the rides are posteed up I will try to make them.

Yep, he is low key, noninflamitory, gets along with everyone.
You know how he loves our state patrol riders we ride with. All concerned with "how they sleep at night" and everything.

If you read his stuff aloud using your best "Grandpa Simpson" voice he's actually quite funny. I was sure he intended it that way...

My wife Deb (aka Butterfly) and I moved to C. Springs from LA a few months ago and are dying to hit a bike night or something! There's a real active sportbike "social" scene in LA. After moving here and seeing all the sportbikes, I can't believe there hasn't been a single get-together since we moved here in September! If folks are willing to meet up with complete strangers, we'd be happy to throw a cycle party/maintenance day/"Faster" viewing party or whatever! Would also love to go for a Starbucks coffee at a bike night too... :)

well why don't you come out and say it rich???? YES YES I GAVE RICH A LITTLE DOSE OF GETTING PUNKED... people in the springs still ride... well at least the stunters.... I know this because I talked to a few of them.. as for the threat rich.... haven't you figured it out that I'm in NEVADA!!!!! but whatever you seem to have me back on the ignore list... not sure why... so I'm wasting my breath on this...

I think that a lot of people don't post rides on this site is because 90% of the riding community in the springs is not on this site because of what has happened on this board in the past... no one wants to get on a web site for sport bikes and get ridiculed for their type of riding... wether it be hanging out at shell or stunting.... or if you don't have anything on that you bag on their grammar...from what I have seen this has not been a very supportive club... I know that my own behavior at most times has been arrogant and childish...

I posted one or two rides I think in the past. Didn't get any response for them. Not a big deal though. I honestly don't particularly care to go out and ride in big groups.

I ride with a couple of guys I've known for awhile. Canyon rides and track days are what we do. I'm not much for riding around town. Although I don't mind taking a quick sprint out east on some of the less traveled roads.

Then there are times where I just ride solo. Some of my most relaxing rides have been just by myself. Don't really consist of much, just something to let my mind wander. Focus on riding and nothing else for awhile.

I don't know, if rides don't ever get organized here in the Springs, not really a big deal to me. I'll always ride, and always have my friends that I ride with.

Just biding my time til next season, where I see a lot of track days in the future....

Well we used to do this even last winter, that is why I posted. We would have groups of over 20 that would meet at Overtime, Old Chicagos, I had movie nights at my house, some others had parties, we would have rides pretty regularly too.

On the other hand, there were disagreements where we should meet to eat, who was the leader, people thought there were cliques, some people didn't like others and would not show up. (this was not just one individual, this was quite a few).

Personally, I am not going to try to start the social thing gathering thing, and if someone does, great, I would participate and like meeting new people but I am through with the organization part. I would show up to one of your cycle party/maintenance day/"Faster" viewing partys PG Rider. But I even if people don't want to socialize, I would hope we could throw all the problems and conflicts aside and at least post up rides.

Alright! ENOUGH of all talk! Lets get together! We love to socialize and talk about bikes, parts and what not. Pg_rider (my hubby) is right!
We used to throw some wicked parties back in LA and it was awesome to have friends over and help each other with the bikes or even just go out for drinks, coffee or dinner. We are very up for it and we love to give ideas and starting new gatherings

Dec 3rd (next saturday), everybody is welcome to our house (we are located by N.Carefree and Powers). Lets all get to know each other, hang out, maybe BBQ :dunno: . Throw us some ideas and show interest

After 6 is good for me as well. I would pm your location to people who want to go. Bashed is great to ride with. I have made as many rides with him as work would allow. I was even at Moab to possibly hook up but things did not work out. (I saw Marty down there and he told me you were flown back to CS)

I haven't posted here since this summer, mainly because the constant flaming going on. I'm getting tired of always riding solo, and this thread seems like a good chance to try out CSC again. Here's my story:

25 year old aircraft mechanic/inspector working at the AFA. I have trouble meeting people my own age, everyone I work with is over 50. I've had an '04 GSXR750 for a year now (yellow is faster), and have ridden numerous dirt bikes all my life.

I don't stunt (I'd cry if my sexy gix went down) although an occasional wheelie coming out of a corner gets me HARD!

The only ride I went on with you guys was a Saturday night cruising around the Springs. It was cool riding as a group, although we ended up hanging out in front of Rum Bay. When the "Biker boys" showed up I left to ride solo for awhile.

The weekly meeting always fell on nights when I had school or work. Too bad, I was hoping to meet some of you. I agree that on this forum, our many "walks of life" split us up into groups. I was told I appear to be a "pretty boy" once while out with CSC, but I assure you I bust my ass EVERY day for everything I have.

At this point, even a cruise up 24 to Divide would be great. I know it's almost winter, but Colorado's known for random 70 degree weekends in January! I'd like to make friends here, without dealing with immature BS. Let's ride, fix/mod our bikes, and just enjoy what brings us all to this forum. I'll keep a heads up for any rides that are posted.

The reason I have held off on the bbq is some friends who I haven't seen and a year in denver and loveland asked me to meet them up at dave and busters in Denver. I am trying to get the date moved, I would be up for a ride but have to be there at 4 (unless I can get the date changed) I will know later in the week.

HAHA yeah man. Some circumstances came down and I had to get rid of the Busa and the ZX-6R.. All is good now though.

Of course I had to replace the Busa. I did feel bad about getting rid of it. Replaced it with the next best thing.

02 GSX-R1000 Actually I feel its probably better, since now I won't have to work as hard to throw it around like I did on the Busa. Only irritation is now I have to put everything on this Gixxer like I had on the Busa. Starting from scratch all over again..

I'll talk to you later man!!!
