Hey gals,
just got my pictures back from my 3-day track school at Freddie Spencer's High Performance riding school!
Boy does that jazz me up about my decision to learn how to ride. It was a tough 3 days, no doubt, but seeing the proof of what I have actually learned how to do, is amazing!
Now, if we could just get some warm weather to settle in for a few days so getting out on the bike and getting some riding time was an option!
anyway, just wanted to share my joy and excitement over my recent accomplishments! :D
I haven't touched my knee down yet, but that is my next goal! I am gonna conquer those fears and insecurities yet!!! :guns:

Well you just gather your druther's (whatever those are) missy (sully) we are hitting the track in the spring fer sure :D I can't wait! Congrats on the driving school thing there shacheri! post those pics! I don't have that kind of capital, but perhaps I can find someone to sponsor me eventually, since that's the way I'd like to go in the next couple/few years..... ;)

I am embarrassed to say, I don't know how to post the pictures on here....I work on a mac and so far, nothing I have tried has worked!
As far as the money spent, I haven't been to any other track schools to compare, but the whole instruction team is A+ at Freddie's. They are wholeheartedly enthusiastic and encouraging about helping you make progress and improvements, they are also supportive when it gets overwhelming.
So, for an incredible 3 days you will never forget, yeah, I'd say it's worth it. They hold a women's only class in April or May....check out their website at:
www.fastfreddie.com
I wish I could afford to go every 3 or 4 months, with practice time at the track in between....I know the improvements and speed gains would be incredible! Plus, I would be learning the best riding habits possible...as I am as much about being safe, as I am about going fast.

I don't know how do-able this would be, but wouldn't it be cool if we could all go together next spring and do a class - be the CSC women rider representatives for the club???
THAT would be a grand time, I think!
:D

Amazzon would be down for that though!

I hear you on the chicken thing...believe me it was very intimidating being there....but, like I said, seeing those pictures of myself and remembering what it was like riding faster than I ever have before, learning how to apex corners, leaning off the bike and using every muscle in my body - JUST AN ABSOLUTE THRILL TO KNOW I DID IT!!!
I'm gonna ask for more information on that woman's class...find out how many they want to fill the class, if there were 10 of us that went, well....?

I don't know how to post the pictures on here....Currently there's no feature for members to upload pictures to the forum. Email them to me at webmaster@cosportbikeclub.org & I'll be glad to post them for you.

Go, go, go, go Sharon go! :bananna: :yay:
I realize that these pictures represent much more than just "you at the track."

Thanks gals!
You know, I don't think I could have done today's group ride without the experience I got from that class. My confidence on the bike today was incredible. I never once had a "gasp" panic moment compared to last year when I went out with a small group of 6 riders.
I am really excited with the progress I am making.
BTW, the gals that were out today looked awesome! And for those of you gals that didn't get to come out today, please know you were missed!
Don't know how things are stacking up for the St. Patty's parade, but if it's a go, let's all try to be there. It really was a lot of fun today!
