:) Hwy 34 up to Estes is clear as a bell. Side roads around Estes are still pretty damn sandy in spots though.

Saw a group of sportbikes coming in from 36/P2P direction...if it was anyone here - which way did you take and how was the sand?

Perfect riding weather today! :bananna: :yay:

Did you see goldilocks the tenacious state trooper on your way up? I saw her on my way up and on my way down seven hours later today. 7 times out of 10 that I'm in BT canyon on a weekend between 7am and 3 pm I see her. Fortunately, she's usually already writing some other poor sap a ticket when I blaze past.

The Big T canyon really is thick with cops. It's not unuasual for me to pass 2 of them on my way to or from Loveland/Estes Park. For the most part, I try to keep it at no more than 10 over. I know they clock me at that all the time, but have never pulled me over. Back in the old days, you couldn't find a cop in that canyon. If you happened to need one, it took 45 minuts for them to get there.

I rode up thru the poudre canyon to masonville, then up to Estes this morning...leaving my house in ft. collins around 8:30. The roads were great and I didn't see any cops until came back down from Estes toward Masonville.......for the most part I hardly saw any traffic at all, it was great.

Yup, yup...yesterday was two troopers and a sheriff - all of them were otherwise occupied. Today was just the one trooper heading down as we were going up so all was good. I only speed a wee lil bit and the 250 slows down in a hurry anyways, lol.

Again, another perfect day of riding although 'twas getting pretty windy the last third of the way down so glad I came back early. :)

Did Horsetooth Res. today too - was nice as well. Passed one MC cop near there and we were going at a pretty good clip but he must've been enjoying the day as well - we all just waved and kept going...my thanks to him for that! :D

I was up stove pararie if thats the name and down to the Pudure and both were suprisingly clear. I did have a few gravel-in-the-shadows moments that made me heart skip a beat, but other than that it was smooth sailing.
I hope the snow doesn't hinder that fun. Ohh highway 34 is on my black list, that gray Jeep guy has nabbed my friend 3 times. I have seen him up there EVERY time I've riden it and he has had a bike or car pulled over, so he didn't have a chance to nab me. The road is good, but the tickets ain't

Just what DOT636 said! There were a few patches of sand but not too bad. I did hit a praire dog though....then he flew back and hit my brothers bike behind me. Then about 2 miles up the road I had to swerve to miss running over a snake....but at least I didn't hit any sand!

What kind of snake was it? Kudos on the prairie dog. One down, one million to go.

I saw quite a few bikes up Big Thompson canyon...were you with a mixed group by any chance? We were following (lil ways back) and saw a nice, tight, well-riding group  up ahead split off Glen Haven way. My buddy was tempted to head that way too but I told him there'd be buckets o'sand and what with the rain coming - just didn't look like my idea of fun!

You take 36 or cut over to 7 back into Lyons?
