Has anyone ridden to Bishops Castle lately? If so, how’s the road? I’m wondering if the new chip seal has gotten packed down and cleaned up. Thanks.

Didn't they do a chip seal on it last year? Thought they did. I haven't even done a canyon ride this year. I think I'm about ready to hang canyon riding up for good and focus strickly on the track days.
I hate to give it up, because I love going places and seeing things, but lame ass cops and people getting irritated with sport bikes(and motorcyclist in general). I think it's best to stay away from the mountains.
Bishop's is a sweet ride may have to throw one of those in this year. Can't give it up completely...

Thanks for the info Frank.
I hear ya’ BK, very understandable.
If Colorado didn’t have so many fantastic canyon roads, surrounded by beautiful countryside, I might be able to join you in the track only riding decision. :)
But I still really enjoy the almost spiritual feeling I take in, on occasion, while riding in the canyons. Sure we have to keep our speeds down, with all the danger out there, but I’ll make that compromise.

don't give it up BK... there are plenty of CO roads with virtually no traffic of any kind to ride on. they're a little further out but they're there. (you might need to get a beemer for some of them though :D )

I guess if all of us street riders would just pony up and buy Beemers, we’d all be better off for it… Why didn’t I realize this sooner? :)
