What are the typical rides like starting in the Springs?
Are they loops, or are they there and backs?
How long is a typical ride as far as time/miles?
Just trying to plan ahead for when I get home.

i hate "there and backs"... the rides i do are loops. I find myself up 24 most of the time and branching off from there, either to 9 to 30 or 67, deckers, etc.... im off fri and sat, hit me up

I won't be in town for a few weeks.
It is funny, I grew up in Widefield, but I moved away before I started driving, so I don't know all the good routes.
When I get home, I will be ready to ride.

I actually don't mind there and backs as long as you are making turns and not going straight.
When I lived in Phoenix, we had to ride for an hour on long straight roads just to get to the twisties, then ride back the way we came.

I prefer loop rides, too, but law enforcement presence on the few roads out of the Springs can be very high some days.
For this reason, my wife and I have begun to ride out and back the same route we came. On the way back, we have at least some idea of what to expect in terms of law enforcement.
Just a thought.

I prefer loops and that's what I did most the time. However, it's not bad to add an " out and back" during a loop to beable to ride the most fun roads out there. The end of the out before the back also gives a good time to take a lil break during the big ride.

I had to read your post twice, but somehow I understood it.

Co.Springs has some of the best roads around. And the nice thing about em is that they are close. I cant wait to ride em again. Its becoming an obsession.

Dallas and I hit the Deckers to Pine Junction route for a early morning half day ride. Good ride, hurry back so you can join us. I am ready to head back to bishops castle.

Let me know when you are doing a Bishops Castle ride. I've heard of it but never been. Maybe because I don't know where it is at.
I'll leave early to meet up with you down there. Tried once but forgot my map to your meeting spot. Now that I know I'll be able to hook up with you. Assuming of course your still meeting at the Little Bear Coffee Shop.
Thanks,
Mark

Check the board, Thurs, Fri, Sat, nights. I plan to ride 1 or 2 of those days. I think Dave wanted to go but our trips are usually short notice so check those nights on the board. I would like to make an early morning ride so we get back at a reasonable time. (plus less cops)
