So I had the bike up Poudre Canyon this weekend...was camped at Kelly Flats. Windy as all hell most of the weekend. Fortunately most of the bad weather stayed further up the canyon (rain and snow).

Wanted to hit up the pass yesterday afternoon but weather in the 30's and snow prevented my candy-arse from doing it on the bike anyways. Saw several cruisers (couple of them right up near the pass as the snow was starting to stick - poor suckers) and also saw a few sportbikes over the weekend. Just wondered if it was any of y'all. :)

VWGuy was up there in the snow yesterday. He got caught in it with another riding buddy on the way back from Steamboat. Sorry I missed it.

Yea me and another guy left Fort Collins around 10am on Sunday morning and went up to Steamboat. Going over rabbit ears pass on the way up was chilly but not too bad. We grabbed some lunch, stopped at wal-mart to get some sweatshirts to put under our jackets and headed back. About 10 miles into the pass it was snowing so bad I couldn't see a thing so we turned back around and went to Steamboat. We hung out for a few hours and it looked like it cleared up a little so we hauled butt over the pass. It was cold as hell and windy but we made it to Walden. We gassed up and headed down 14 into the poudre canyon where we got nailed with heavy rain and snow like crazy. Since there was no where to stop and hang out we toughed it out and rode...had to stop a few times and warm our hands up on our tail pipes to keep the feeling in them though!

Crazy how different the weather can be...once we got back to fort collins it was like 75 degrees and no wind...damn this Colorado weather!

Geeezzz it was pretty darn nice down here, the cities were empty since everyone was "out of town"
