There was an article in the newpaper this morning explaining that extreme flooding in the Hayman Fire area had caused flood waters 60-80 feet wide to wash out part of Highway 67 and covered other portions of the highway with debris. The area primarily effected is between Woodland Park and Deckers. As I recall, there was also some road damage and/or debris problems on Highway 126.

Even worse news in the newspaper this morning:
4 miles of Highway 67 have been washed out. It is projected that Highway 67 will be closed for 2-3 months.
The only silver lining I can think of is that maybe some high quality virgin asphalt will be used to restore it.
In the meantime, I guess this means the LEOs assigned to patrol it will be somewhere else.
