I finally got out there

Hey girls, I finally got out on my bike!! I'm so excited. I went for a ride with my husband yesterday and then again alone today. I did make sure to stay on residential streets, and I got up to 45 mph (my new record :bananna: ). I'm now learning that the more you get out, the better you get, becuase today I was much more confident than yesterday. Hopefully I will soon be out with all of you!

I completely understand how you feel. I went out today with some other people from here for about three hours and it felt so good! I'm finally getting really comfortable on my bike. And the more comfortable you get, the more fun it is :) .

Congrats!!! Practice definitely makes perfect! It's great that you are getting more comfortable on your bike! It's also great that you are staying within your abilities! I know too many people (mostly guys :D) who go "balls to the wall" and not even think about how good they are ... and they end up hurt! Hopefully we'll see you out and about when the weather warms up!!!

Alrighty, I guess this means I have to get out there and get my groove on. Just lemme get my broom first - and clean off all the gravel on the roads. :shocked:
Should I be fearing the gravel as much as I am? I've heard stories, ya know! There's just way too much grit around my place, it'll be like riding in a sandbox!
