Ok, so I'm a wimp...I didn't go riding today, the temp didn't even make it past 45 degrees...all friggen day long! What was up with that?! Ok, so I watched the news this evening and it was explained, but damn it was chilly!
I did, however, ride yesterday out to IMI, just to see what it looks like...cute little track...yes, I just said "cute". Pretty cool, though. Saw the carts going around, and then a coupla bikes...two sportbikes and a dirt bike.
My point? On the ride home, even though it was nice and sunny and maybe 10 degrees warmer than today, once the sun hid behind the hills, I was chilled to the bone. I was wearing layers too. I just couldn't warm up when I made it home and my daughter just gave me this look of strangeness, like "Damn, I've got a weird Mom!" I was wearing a couple of shirts, my socks, and fuzzy slippers and I was still shivering.
Hmmm...no, that's not me whining, just stating the facts. I will be back out there tomorrow, as long as the clouds lift and give me some sunshine.:D
I know that today was a Northern phenomenon as far as temperature goes. You guys down in Denver got nice and toasty today.8)

Welp...just did a sky-check...there's light puffy clouds and the temp is about 39 degrees. That's typical for early morning. Now, if the sun does its job like it's supposed to and burns up the puffiness, I'm outta here in a coupla hours.
Woot! Come on good vibes!:bananna:

And who was this wonderful person that rode along and froze her butt off with you? Ah, so easily we forget! :p

Shite, been a few more days than that. Wtf? We are normally the ones with the great weather while everyone around us gets slammed.

Hey sweetie...so how's the roads up thar...too much sand, or not enough to worry my pretty little head about?
The "pocket of cold" went all the way down to half way in between Berthoud and Longmont today and then the air warmed up about 10 degrees in like less than a mile...just freaky.
We're hoping for a better day tomorrow with the sunshine and may head up the hills if someone has a road report for us. Wanna join us if we go up? Give me a call.

So, you and Bat got out there around 3:00-4:00 didn't you? And you didn't stop by and say "Hi" to me, did you? I was loading up my truck with the Honda dirt bike right as you left. I was on the track before you got there, but I had given up for the day right before you arrived. You could have come over and taken the supermoto for a few laps... We are going again next weekend.

Filo is a supermoto icon and if he is going to be there, so will I.
And I will bring Filos favorite Suzuki too.

I feel your pain! Riding in the cold is no fun. A few weeks ago Bob and I took a ride up boulder canyon. About 3/4 of the way to Nederland the temp dropped to 33 degrees. Needless to say we weren't prepared for these conditions and by the time we actually got to Nederland it started to snow. I've ridden in the snow before it's never fun. Luckily the snow cleared for our ride back down the canyon and we had a great ride regardless. But like you it took a nice hot shower and many layers of clothing for me to warm up again.

I can't go tomorrow, my kids are off track now. I can only go when the ex has them. Something about throwing two boys on the bike to go ride.... feels wrong!

Ah, riding in the snow...brings back fond memories.:cold: Nothing like getting smacked in the face with teeny little snow pellets, cuz all you've got to wear is an openface...but, yeah the ride back down from Estes (this was a coupla years back) was great and included a stop at Oskar Blues in Lyons...hmmm hot guy and hot gumbo topped it off...but, I promised Bat I wouldn't talk about him anymore...so's that's all I'm gonna say.;)

Damn! We missed ya?! You shoulda come over and smacked us around a coupla times just to knock the cobwebs out.:slap: But, ya know, you could also show up at the Haus more often so that we recognize ya when you're out at the track.;)

Nah...no I didn't...you're seeing things, er reading things...yeah, that's it. Gotta make it sound all mysterious-like anyways, seeings how that's the way he dealt with things. (ooohh...she waves her arms in the air and gives a mysterious look)...Ha!:p
Now, back to the "pocket of cold" with ya...

Go get ya a new tire and be done with it. I had to do that during the summer and the old tire only had less than 2k on it...it sucked royally to have to do that, but felt oh so much better on those long rides...not worrying about the plug giving out.
I'm off to the great wide yonder...hope to see some of ya CSC'ers out there as we putter around.

My wife took up a card game class on Thursday nights. I guess she wants to kick everyones butt in poker (actually bridge). After her classes end I will be able to attend again.

Tell her I hope she whips the pants off of 'em.:eyebrows: Oh, wait, that's strip poker. Whew, and I thought you weren't showing up because of the monkey that keeps hanging around.
Oh, I'd better stop now. Ate way too much yesterday, still a bit punch-drunk. Hope to see ya soon, then.
