I just picked up a 1999 ZX9R and seems the original temp gauge in the instrument pannel is dead. The pervious owner installed a "Daytona" temp gauge that is orange in color abd about 1inch by about 2inch and is digital. This gauge seems dead as well. I do not seem to be able to get any temp reading from either gauges. Can anyone give me some direction on a digital gauge that I can get that is like the Daytona that is on the bike, or some fix.

Thanks John

Er, did you check to make sure they were properly hooked up? Just before you spend a bunch of money buying a new one...

Yea it is all hooked up and such. Reading the specs on a new one I find there is a battery that may need be changed. Now I need to figure out how to open it up to change the battery. I know this sounds simple and all but this is my first dealing with this stuff and do not want to muck it up. If anybody has a manual or know anything about these Daytona digital temp meters I would apperciate it.
