Wasn't bad for slow city riding, wore my hoodie, thermals, sweatshirt along with the regular gear and was fine. Some people complained about cold hands so I would recommend your warmest gloves.....

I have an extra hoodie if anyone wants to borrow it, it makes you look ridiculous but damn it keeps all the wind out or your lid and neck while riding....

Yeah I have something really similar, you can get these at your local bike shop for like 4-5 whopping buckaroos.

Also, update first post, I will cage it up the route to make sure roads are at least decent....on wednesday.

I figure since I'm doing a couple track days this year I should make sure my bikes as safe as possible for myself and others. Its only @75 bucks so I think its worth it. :)

bottle of lock tite is cheaper

think about resale--i would think, don't know for sure, but a dealership is going to give you less because they are going to swear the bike has been raced:dunno:

why else would anyone do this?

also to sell it privatly if i was looking at a bike and saw safety wire i would shy away for the same reason. unless.......you are looking for a race bike. but generally a rce bike won't bring as much cash unless it has major upgrades.

it's also a pain in the ass when you are doing maintenance.

just my thoughts......but what do i know?:)

I don't really care about resale value. :dunno: Its really a precautionary measure for my upcoming track days. I really don't care what people think, I'll get my money one way or another. :)

Thanks for the offer Dean, I'm just too busy to spend the time on it.

Here's the thread on Safety Wiring: http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/showthread.php?t=10921

Back on topic. If you are going on this ride it looks like the temp is going to be 40 or less. Under Armor makes some very thin (but very warm) liner's for your gloves. I'd pick some up before heading out on this one. :)

P.S. its nice being rich. :)

I may do the drive Friday evening if the weather looks iffy this week. I also emailed Kurt @ Zokas to see what input he had regarding road conditions there.

good luck if you go anywhere this weekend...I can tell you there is another 10 pounds of sand at each intersection on the south side of town.

I will be out with a couple of people but have a feeling that the roads may not be too good up there yet. I might have a chance to cage it on Saturday just to make sure.
