I want to thank Jim for all the work he did to the Kawi and the personal attention that TFOG provided throughout the process. Jim called me several times to double check and make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. It was one of the best shop experiences I have had and I look forward to doing more business in the future.

My rearsets, quickshifter, and saftey wiring were all quality work and left nothing but a smile on my face when I headed out to the canyons on Sunday. :)

Yes, but has anybody figured out why your bike gets about 1/2 of the MPG that it should. :dunno:

Its a Kawi so it needs to run a little richer than most. :) Just like its owner

I have the same rear sets on my ZX9R at first they felt strange compared to my GSX-R but after a few rides I want to get a set for my GSX-R. Jim is a good guy and I agree TFOG has it going on in customer service, hey I will be the first to b!tch about a shop so only fair to sing praises of a good place. Keep it up TFOG

BTW Jim, I need a new chain and sprockets for the 10, and ideas? :)

Do you want to change the gearing and/or convert to 520? Lotsa options in both chains and sprockets, and some good deals on kits from RK and Regina....

konichd
Thu Mar 29th, 2007, 05:19 PM
Stock gearing, maybe +2 in the back. I would like to stick with an RK or DID chain in 525. I don't care about sprockets as long as their black :)

Thu Mar 29th, 2007, 05:23 PM
Hmmm...black you say? Most of the steel sprockets we get come silver, but let me see what I can come up with....maybe Sunstar Z sprocket....Gold chain like Mr T?

konichd
Thu Mar 29th, 2007, 05:25 PM
Gold is in! Doesn't AFAM make black "hardened" sprockets? :dunno:

We need to talk about a Race Tech suspension too :)

TFOGGuys
Thu Mar 29th, 2007, 05:32 PM
Figure on $20 for a front sprocket, the AFAM rear will run $56 CSC price, and the RK GXW gold chain will run you $149 ($209 recommended retail). Figure about 3-4 working days to get 'em in. Let me know, and I'll get 'em coming....

going with 520 chain and sprockets is usually cheaper than getting all new 525 stuff :)

The Kawi has more balls than a bowling alley, no 520 can tame it! :)

525 is just enough

Looks a lot better from when I last saw it if I remember correctly

hmm....... Rossi uses a 520, so does Spies, in fact so do I, you can get a comparable 520 chain (meaning top of the line) for around 2/3 of the price of the 525 :)

Ya, but none of those people ride a Kawi!

you are right, you could probably get away with a bicycle chain on a :turtle: Kawi :)

Jim hooked me up with an RK chain and stealth sprocket for the 10 and I'm very happy with the quicker acceleration by going up a couple teeth.

Once again, great service, excellent business as always! :)

Did they "Yellow Box" you too, or is DK not above ODO and SPEEDO discrepancies?

Just curious.

On the Kawi forums people have been having trouble with the speedo healer tripping the F.I. light. DK makes his own speed limit. :)
