Hello from Morrison, CO. I recently purchased a 1992 FZR 1000. Trying to find basic info. like horsepower rating, top speed, 1/4 mile time etc. Will be making a drag bike and trying to find how to lower rear of bike. Any help greatly appreciated...............thanks

Ok, youre not gonna believe this, but i am looking at the july 1991 issue of Motorcyclist. They did a comparo between a cbr600f2 a ducati 851 sp2 and an fzr 1000. The fzr did a 10.54 sec 131 mph quarter mile. Had a top speed of 166 mph.Wet weight was 533 lbs. And it cost $8799.They didnt mention horsepower. I also have an aug 87 issue of cycle world that tests the 88 fzr 1000.It says the 88 makes 130 bhp at 10000 rpm and 75lb/ft at 8500 rpm.

Actually, I have three of them.....just kidding . Im not some kind of a loser who hangs onto old motorcycle magazines for ten years or any thing like that. Oh wait...shit...I guess i am! You can have this issue if you want it. Then you can be a loser with ten year old motorcycle magazines too.

You're only a loser if you don't have a 10 year old bike to match! :D Then you're just "informed"...

Now if I could just find some magazines for those '76 and '78 yamahas of mine... 8)

Hey Mike, If you want to part with your magazine, I'd be happy to take it off your hands...............I live in Morrison and ride the canyon frequently. Maybe we could hook up some day.

Thanks again.
