View Full Version : Sunday - Morrison Conoco - Less Aggressive Pace

JustSomeDude
Sat Mar 17th, 2007, 01:51 PM
Prolly gonna head to the Morrison Conoco tomorrow morning to head up into Evergreen. Probably around 9-9:30am. Anyone looking to join along for a less aggressive pace is welcome.

For those of you with ants in your pants, don't worry - I always pull aside to let the speed demons pass by. :)

I dunno If I'll opt for the Echo Lake run, I guess we can decide that tomorrow.

By the way, I know a lot of different groups meet up there. So to help you find me, look for the bike in my avatar.

Yamaha YZF600R (http://pixpipeline.com/d/03a2bdad8ef4.jpg (http://pixpipeline.com/d/03a2bdad8ef4.jpg)).
I'll have a Blue/Black/White helmet, and Blue/Black/White jacket. Yeah, I'm a matching colors nerd.

Come on out! Looks like there may be two groups joining up... the more aggro guys at 10am, and those of us who are less experienced at 9/9:30. Looks like the time may be an issue due to the boozing holiday - so let's shoot for closer to the 9:30 end of that 9-9:30 range.

How's that sound? Besides, us slow-pokes should try to get out of there a good 30 minutes before the next group... that way we won't be holding them up on their run!! ;)

I just recently move to Denver, Weather looked so great for this weekend I wanted to get on my bike and ride. I am new to this area so I don't know the good places to ride or people to ride with. Maybe next time I will have the chance to ride and make new friends.

Yes the clown showed up lol. He led the Less Agressive Group on a good intro ride of the season. You cant exactly just jump right in and hit the roads hard. Soon I will be back up to speed for the more agressive pack. There 8 of us and split up about noon time. Some one here got a group pic that I am looking for to see posted here later. It was fun and not dangerous well there were a few times of 120+ stretches LOL.

Ride again soon fellaz......

Well, by the time we made it back our stomach's got the best of us so we stopped in at the Morrinson Inn (excellent food!) and grabbed a table on the upper porch. Just as we're about to leave a lady comes over and asks us for our table. Since we were leaving we kindly gave it up. See asked on our way out to "tell the girl in the striped shirt to come over" she then explained the "hotty" was her SINGLE daughter. I proceeded to "dust off" a chair for the madam to sit down, but she took the chair next to her mom. We all hung our heads and left much smaller men than we entered. :(

Saw Pilot on the way back, was right behind you most of the way down 285.

What time did your ride meet up? I was at Conoco at 10:00am (a little after), and that was definitely NOT a mellow ride. :D

Maybe you should have dusted off your face as a place to sit?

Sorry Pilot, wanted to make it so I could slap Pig Pen around, but ended up starting more local.....and doing 200miles, ending up there in the late afternoon.

There is just too much good fellowship on this post (not enough bashing and hijacking going on) --the mods need to lock this thread down before this gets out of hand and bleeds over to other posts.

Depends on the weather, it looks like rain unfortunately. I also have to finish up my trailer on Friday. If its sunny, I'm there! :)

Yup, that was me.

How'd you like the engine block that was sitting in the middle of the road going south/westbound on 285?

How scary would that be to tear around a corner and find that laying there.

I think that was a compressor motor, Binford 1000, S# 18945- I got a close look as I was leaned over, LOL. Hell, I was close to pulling over to toss it on the side of the road--I really shouda. It looked like it f'd up that girl's car that waz on the side of the road.

That subaru was jacked up. That rocker panel was all torn up and I'm sure the alignment was no longer straight.
