YES i think they are still going

3rd Annual Newb Ride!
Well, I organized this last year and due to interest will be organizing this little event again. Last year we had 60+ bikes show up! :)

When: Sunday April 15th (or open to alternate dates)
Where: Morrison Conoco off C-470 park on south side curb!
Time: Be there by 9am, leave by 9:30am sharp

Last year we had a lot of volunteers step-up to lead groups of riders. So once again this year I'm asking for a fearless leaders to step forward to lead this, any takers? Also would be nice if someone would play "sweeper" to ensure no one gets left behind?

Also make sure you have all your gear! Helmets, gloves, jacket, boots at least, race suit if you have it.

Please review the CSC rules
http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/club/rules.html (http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/club/rules.html)

This will be a fairly "easy" ride so don't be afraid to sign up. This is mainly a learning experiece and to meet other people in the CSC. Its also a little "refresher" on the canyons, etc. We will decide on the route that morning to take into account road conditions, etc.

There is no "sign up" last year 30 people signed up or contacted me, and like I said we had 60+ bikes.

Ralph is going to move this thread from South Central Metro, but I gotsta represent!

bus_henryHenry,
You should con these guys into a ride down to Fairplay and then back down 9 to 24.

well Pilot et al,
suppose we start at the LoafnJug north of 470 on 83, run south on 83 to c/s, talk for a bit on whether to add the leg to Fairplay and back, (do it or not...) then ride 25 north to 105. there are lots of places to eat and it will be a beautiful day.
---talk about it--

What time in the morning? My wife said I could go for a ride, so I might as well tag along with you guys. I'm not the fastest, not sure if that matters.

10 sounds good. I've got my cousin riding with me and there's a possibility N1KSS1KS1x (http://www.cosportbikeclub.org/forums/member.php?u=2179) will ride so that makes 3 of us. We'll meet up at the conoco off of alemeda and 225 around 9 and then meet you guys at 10 at the other conoco

hope it's not a cruiser lol. As for us riding to estes I just read a post by pilot saying the roads up there aren't that great. I just rode coal creek again today and the road really really sucks tooooo much gravel. But yes we can always plan it out when we get there

Count me plus another in as well for this morning. Can't stand to stay off the bike on a day that's gonna be 70 degrees.
So, 10am at the Conoco at Morrison and 470, right?

*And I'm all for the routes that keep us off the heavily graveled roads.
