I'm trying to figure out what year an engine is, I bought a 91 KX250 with a bad crank bearing. Looking at the Kawasaki part diagrams, the engine looks different, top mount in the back of the head vs the front... I really don't want to order parts to find out they are the wrong ones. Frame is definitely a 91, and to make matters worse, 90-91 is a unique motor, doesn't share a whole lot with the 92+ motor... Can I figure out the engine year based on the engine serial number? I want to get this thing going, perfect weather for riding right now. :banghead:
